It is super soft but not thick at all. It’s about an inch thick at most. It came vacuumed pack but I highly doubt it’ll reach the 2.5 inches thick it says it is. And even if it does, it definitely won’t hold that thickness. Haven’t slept in it yet but laid in it and it does add about a half inch thickness to my mattress making it a bit thicker. I think I’ll have to buy another mattress topper (not this one) and put it under this one. This one will fit deep mattresses. So disappointed! ... show more

    • A Great Solution For an Uncomfortable Sleeper Sofa
I ordered this topper for a sleeper sofa I have that has a mattress that is about the same thickness as a piece of pita bread. I have previously been using an egg-crate-style foam topper which helps some, but no one has ever said “wow that is one comfortable bed”! The bed is in a den that has typically been used only by friends’ children. They can sleep on anything. But now we’re starting to have more guests that are adults around 50 years old and older I needed something softer and more plush. This topper does the trick! I’ve actually put it on top of the egg crate foam topper. Together they make for a very comfortable bed. And even without the foam topper this makes a huge difference. It comes in a vacuum-sealed bag. Once you open it up, it grows to its full volume potential! And now, for the first time ever, that bed is actually inviting. I haven’t had enough guests for the loft to compact down at all, but I assume that all I’ll need to do is just fluff it a bit and it will be as good as new. You’ll hear from me by way of an edit if that isn’t the case… For the money, I think that this is about the best “comfort makeover” you can possibly give a bed. This topper is amazing! I have a crappy mattress but this topper makes such a difference. I use it along with a memory foam layer and the bed is very comfortable. Definitely has deep pockets, never slips off the bed/mattress, however, I wouldn't say it's cooling. I sleep hot and am usually sweaty so no, not cooling. ... show more

I bought a palm mattress for my parents, however, they complained that is too firm to sleep on. Then I decide to buy a mattress top. This is perfect matching. Would recommend palm mattress and this mattress top for elderly people or who has lower back pain. And it’s economical friendly.
