Great idea except had to replace one ring terminal because it was too small for battery terminal. Also had to replace butt splice with waterproof heat shrink type. Should have bought to ones with just bare wires.

    • Great, except for the connectors
I only gave 4 stars because there's no good reason why these don't come with marine grade connectors. Even better would be waterproof heatshink connectors, but they should be tinned at least. I cut off the stock ones and used marine grade and they work as expected.

Yes, there are heavier duty connections out there but for a simply and quick connect/disconnect, and for the price, these are quite effective.

The connectors work fine, they are just a little flimsy compared to the normal type of connectors like this. Pushing them together makes the terminals move back and forth out of alignment. Once they are aligned they "click" together fine and work as intended. I just wish they were a little more rigid. ... show more

I use this to quickly attach and remove trolling motor battery. Works perfectly and my charger plugs right into these to make charging batter a breeze.

I figured out that I can use the quick connect on my battery charger. Plug and Charge. I like the product so far.

    • I replace the butt connector and terminal connector with marine grade stuff
Major problem I have with this is that it isn't marine grade hardware or wire but I like having the quick disconnect becuase I removed my trolling motor every trip. I cut the connectors off and replace them with marine grade ones with adhesive lined heat shrink tubing to help prevent water damage and make them waterproof. It blows my mind that minn kota is selling this product to be using with a trolling motor and its not marine grade. ... show more
