Description

The Minn Kota Terrova features an easy-to-deploy system of fallaway ramps that effortlessly slide the trolling motor into the water, plus a spring-loaded Lift-Assist design for easy stowing. Durably designed for all kinds of freshwater boats, this bow-mounted, electric-steer motor attaches to the front of the boat with a bolt-on bracket and pulls it through the water for better maneuverability and control. Using GPS lock onto fishing spots with Spot-Lock, record and retrace paths, command speed and steering, and more, the i-Pilot system allows you to control your motor from the color touchscreen remote or from a virtual remote on your Humminbird fish finder (sold separately). It also offers Spot-Lock with Jog to hold you in place on top of any productive fishing spot without touching your trolling motor. With the included heading sensor, you can use Jog to move your Spot-Lock location five feet in any direction. An integrated battery meter is built into the i-Pilot to give you an instant reading on the motor's battery life. The Terrova trolling motor combines an indestructible composite shaft with the swept-back flared blades of the Weedless Wedge 2 Prop to power through anything without battery- draining chopping and hacking. The media could not be loaded. Omg…. I have heard from others how this trolling motor will change my life. I-pilot and Spot-lock alone would have changed my life. I fish for Kokanee alone many of the time, and it’s like I have my own personal captain steering the boat. I fish for crappies in a lake that has a long, narrow channel that is always windy and has a strong current. Even with an anchor, I was never able to stay put long enough to stay in the fish. Now when I see them on the fish finder I hit Spot-lock and bingo. I am there. Also, I installed it myself in one evening, and it was very easy, even a caveman could do it. What's not to like with the Terrova trolling motor? Easy to install and works like a champ. No more fighting my old "dumb" trolling motor. Now, I can record tracks to troll, 'anchor" with Spot Lock, jog all around the spot lock area, set cruise control (it adjusts to wind conditions) and maintain set headings. I didn't buy the foot pedal option because I move around the boat a lot and the remote or phone app remote suit my needs . Purchasing this trolling motor was very well worth the investment. It’s a Minn Kota so alls good. I swapped out the 12v 55lb thrust that came on my boat for the 24v 80lb thrust for my 1650 FishHawk. It will troll me around for crappie all day long. I only use the remote to follow the contours. lOVE the spot lock!! Also use the North setting and Cruise Control to keep me on track. Can always add the foot control if I have a reason to. This is one of the most important tools on my boat next to my electronics! ... show more

I bought this for our Lowes TriToon and man oh man does this thing work great! No pedal! Comes with the remote that hangs around your neck or you can download the app on your phone, either works great. Will say this, be very careful with the remove battery compartment, very fragile, had to order another after I bought this. Our Toon weights about 4500 lbs and the thing will hold it steady in a 20 mile per hour wind. We love it! Had to rig our toon for the trolling motor and I highly recommend that you get high quality batteries and a battery maintainer that is hardwired into the wiring on your batteries and house battery of your boat. This model does not self deploy but I hardly ever need to do that with the toon, normally have plenty of folks to help when needed. Great buy! ... show more

    • Falsely advertised caused me much heartache.

I purchased this motor as it was advertised that it would work via capabilities it possessed to conenect to a Humminbird fish finder. After purchasing the motor, installing it and using it with the supplied remote it worked perfectly. I then purchased the 3K trolling fish finder to go with it I find that it WILL NOT CONNECT to the Humminbird fish finder as advertised. Minn Kota factory verified that Amazon had a wrong description that was still up at the time (3 months after purchase). The third party seller "Twister Group Inc." tried for weeks to tell me it would indeed work then finally they said it would not but would not help me. Amazon allowed me to file an A to Z claim but failed to even contact me to consult on the issue. I had letters from the manufacturer stating "incorrect description" I had copies of the original incorrect description that had been advertised by Amazon. In the end I have 5K of electronics that won't work together as both Amazon and Twister Group advertised that they would. I am loyal 15 year customer of Amazon that has been let down. ... show more

Was fairly easy to install myself, will really make a difference fishing on Lake Erie, now trolling I can actually fish instead of having to drive the boat. Still need to pay attention but I set a course and it held the line even in rough water. I have a 19’ fiberglass Bayliner and it pulled it thru the water better than I expected. ... show more
