It is my first camera rig of this type, and I'm not an expert, but I am pleased with this product. I've used it scuba diving about 10 times and it has helped my video become very stable. The construction is of the rig itself is solid and feels durable. So far, it has not rusted or corroded form salt water. Easy to use and adaptable to many underwater housings. It is lightweight and customized easily for my rig. The two 1" ball mounts worked perfect as a foundation for my light and second camera. The lightweight construction also allows it to be broken down for easy transport.

Nice versatile tray that can be adjusted to fit most housings. The handles are sturdy and having the ball mounts made it easy to mount different lighting setups. The three piece design makes it the perfect size for travel as it can be broken down for easy storage. A good value for the money. The only downside side I had was when I tried to use it on a sea frog housing I had to make a rubber gasket to go between the housing and tray so that the try would screw tightly to the tray.

Overall great mount. Lost a star due to 1) use with a GoPro required adding an extra washer as the screw can’t tighten enough on the GoPro mount to secure firmly. And 2) after 2 weeks of saltwater diving, the clasp screw on the ball mount has corroded and won’t loosen - will grease for future use, assuming I can get it loose with tools at home.

I am using this with a GoPro 10 and a pair of Leton Power B24 lights. The pros are that the tray is light weight and was relatively easy to assemble. It performed very well -- I thought -- underwater. I learned it did not perform well when I reviewed my video (or more accurately, the audio in my video). I did notice some wiggling going on during the dive coming from the handles. This is because each side is held on by two small screws that did not seem to tighten down enough to hold the arms still without movement. I thought this feature would be great since it would allow me to move the lights further or closer to the camera as needs demanded. Turns out, it was a bug. Each movement of the arm translated into a banging noise in the audio portion of my footage. I had to completely edit out the audio to make the video useable at all. The sound is not noticeable while you are shooting underwater, but it is VERY noticeable on playback. I did try torquing down those screws some more and moving the tray in to see if I could get some more stability out of the tray. However, the arms still wiggle. I cannot recommend this tray for video recording. It might work for still photo shooting where you do not have to worry about the sounds it produces. UPDATE 11/30/2025: Dove it again. I moved the arms closer in, torqued them down, and the wiggle went away. The lesson here is do not use the arms opened to the far extreme. Gave back a star for this. HOWEVER, the ball clamps are pure garbage. The springs are thin and cheap. They compressed and would not expand. If you buy this tray you may as well throw the ball clamps away. You will get maybe two dives before they are useless. So take that star back. Final score is still 2 stars and a hearty do not buy. There are better trays out there.
