This is a good model build. I have old man hands and some of the smaller parts were a little tricky for me to get into place but it just required a little time and patience. I was able to assemble myself fully and had a very good time doing so. Once assembled its very cool to watch it run. Nice chance to show people what actually goes on inside a combustion V8 engine. Feels durable enough that it should run for a long time without issues. Good value for the price. I do wish it was a bit bigger just because it is so cool and I want to show it off on a shelf. Measurements are accurate on the description so you won't be surprised or anything.

Is it an accurate representation of a real world motor? kind of. Is it as good as Lego? Not quite, but it's close and it's way cheaper. The last time I tried a Lego-compatible alternative kit (many years ago), it was not good. But they have clearly come a long way. The pieces look and feel very similar to Lego, the snap-together feel is consistent for most pieces and the plastic quality is close to Lego. The instructions were much better than I expected. You have to pay pretty close attention to the instructions and take your time, which I like in a model -- challenging enough but not too frustrating. The final result is quite satisfying. Although the final operation is perhaps where it falls a bit short compared to a Lego kit. The gears catch a bit and it's overall a just a little bit "rickety", causing it to occasional bind and stop. But adjusting it a bit lets it run for a good duration. Overall a really fun build at a great price for a kit of this size, especially considering it even comes with the electric motor.

I'm really happy with the quality of this set. The instructions are easy to understand and its a clever design that both kids and adults will find fun and interesting. The real value of this model is it makes a great looking display due to the light and moving parts. The price per piece is a little bit higher than average but the set includes a short USB light strip and a motor.

This thing is pretty detailed. It comes 600 plus pieces, power adapter, power cable, and instructions. For me the instructions too awhile for me to follow as it took awhile to build. The instructions a little confusing to me, I wish the pieces were separated a little better. Ultimately I enjoyed building this.

My kid is interested in building blocks and loves cars, so I thought this would be a great gift for him. Everything looked great from the outside, until we started building the blocks according to the instructions. At step 9, there was a missing piece. I had a similar building block from another set, so I borrowed a piece from it. However, as we moved forward to step 33, there was another missing piece, which made the entire set unusable. I wish these sets were checked thoroughly before being packaged. If I hadn't had the spare piece from a different product, we would have been stuck at step 9. My kid was so disappointed about the missing pieces, and now these building blocks are just sitting on the shelf unused.

My husband is putting this together with my 10-year-old son. The instructions are clear and easy to read. It comes with everything needed, and it works. This has been a great learning tool to teach my son how a motor works. Highly Recommend.

This is a review for: Suplanet V8 Engine Building Blocks Sets,Red Mini Engine Kit with Battery and Motor,Collectible Set for Adults, Car Engine Building Engineering STEM Projects for Kids Boys (660 Pcs) This is a building kit consisting of plastic pieces (somewhat like lego). The pieces are all well crafted, no malformed pieces or broken pieces so far. There are a few extra pieces that are included in each bag but most are exact so you will have to make sure not to lose them. The motor and lights worked well. The build isn't too bad, the instructions were pretty clear and was easy to follow. The only negative is that in the beginning it shows you a part remover tool which seems like it would be provided with the kit but is not -- if things get stuck, you're on your own trying to figure out how to unstick it. Overall this builds a pretty cool engine that has a motor and lights, with actual moving pistons.
