I was excited to receive this product. When I opened the product, I could tell it was used. It had bobbins already threaded with stitched fabric halfway sewn. I could not figure out how to set the machine up. Plus, the power cord and foot pedal are only about a foot long. I would not be able to use the foot pedal and under regular means would need an extension cord the plug it up. The machine kept cutting off. It has the option for batteries, but that did not help either. I will be returning this for a refund. ... show more

Awful quality.. Does not work well. Jams and locks up. It screams "Cheapo!" Should not be sold at any price. Returning.

    • The cords need to be longer for this sewing machine
This is the first sewing machine I have ever purchased. I have unpackaged, assembled, and looked at all of the components. It came with all of the items pictured in the photos, and even had some extra bobbins with thread. I plugged it in and tried to use it, and It does seem to work well. I am hesitant with the star rating overall however as the cords for both the foot pedal and the main cord to power this machine are very short. I am not sure if the foot pedal is something that is always used as I am unfamiliar with sewing machines, but I can say that the cord is so short for the pedal that it does not lay flat on the floor, even when the sewing machine is near the edge of standard height table. The power cord is also extremely short and would require an extension cord if you are planning to use this machine more than a few inches away from a power outlet. ... show more

    • Very basic sewing machine
I had a big sewing machine back in my home which had many design patterns and could make different types of stitching. This sewing machine is very basic and just do 1 type of stitching, but is good for beginners who want to start stitching and practice how to use it before going to upgraded stitching machine. Although this is basic, but it does make the job work done as expected. The stitching is strong enough and not easy that it will break again. Nice design, but this always need electric power to operate with or without foot peddle. This machine also came with the set up threads, bobbins, needles, scissors. This makes life easier and avoid extra spend on all these accessories. Tried with a few clothes initially and my daughter also tried it, it was easy to operate with the extension table that came with it.     • Not really a beginners machine.
I originally got this machine because I thought it would be easier to start a child on this small machine rather than my more powerful large machine. However, this machine only has one speed and it was surprisingly fast. The power cord is very short. In order to plug it in and have it on the table it will require the use of an extension cord. The accessory package was nice and I have used the bobbins in my larger machine. I will keep this machine in reserve because it will run on batteries and might come in handy for camping or other travel. ... show more
