  • Great Little Sewing Machine for Everyday Use
It arrived fast and was easy to set up, I was sewing in just a few minutes. Even though it is small, it works very strong and handles different fabrics very well. I tried cotton, denim, and even some stretchy jersey, and the stitches still came out clean and nice. The machine has many stitch options, like straight stitch, zigzag and some decorative ones, and they all work smooth. I also like that it can use a double needle, because it makes my projects look more professional. The machine is lightweight, so I can move it around the house without any trouble. It is not too noisy, which I really appreciate when I sew at night. It also comes with many accessories like extra needles, small tools, and some thread, so I didn’t need to buy anything extra at the beginning. For very thin or stretchy fabric, I used a stabilizer to make the stitch look better, but that is normal for most machines. ... show more

  • Good for Light Repairs — But No Variable Speed Control
Buy it if you want a compact machine for light repairs and simple crafting. It’s been years since I’ve used a sewing machine, but getting back into it was easy. Setup is straightforward and it comes with everything you need to get started — pre-wound bobbins, spools, needles, and basic accessories. Stitching looks good and consistent, even when stopping and starting. Reverse stitching works as expected, and for light fabrics and basic hemming it performs well. Heavier fabrics like denim in two layers will probably be okay, but a rolled hem in denim might be difficult. The biggest limitation is the pedal. It is not variable speed. It’s essentially on or off — when you press it, the machine runs a half stroke--up or down. if you want slower control, you’ll need to use the handwheel. For anyone planning to sew frequently or work on detailed projects, a true variable-speed pedal would be a top requirement, and this machine doesn’t offer that. The built-in light works but isn’t very bright, so you’ll likely want additional lighting. It’s also a bit louder than large machines I’ve used in the past. The unit is very lightweight and compact, but still large enough to be usable. Build quality feels solid overall, though the pedal itself feels slightly lower quality than the rest of the machine. At around $100, it feels a little pricey compared to similar mini machines. That said, the included accessories and pre-wound bobbins help offset some of that difference. This is not a machine for someone planning to do a lot of sewing. But for occasional home repairs, light crafting, or as a starter unit, it gets the job done. ... show more

  • Amazing Beginner-Friendly Sewing Machine!
I am so impressed with this Verdandika mini sewing machine! For the price, it offers incredible value. It comes with everything you need to get started — extra threads, bobbins, needles, scissors, and even an extension table that makes sewing so much easier for larger pieces. The machine itself is lightweight, easy to set up, and perfect for beginners like me. The dual speed and 14 stitch options work smoothly, and it sews surprisingly well on different types of fabrics I’ve tried so far. I also love how compact it is, so it doesn’t take up much space. ... show more

  • A beginner's take on sewing
As a guy having no experience with sewing or stitchery whatsoever, I was forced into getting something that would do curtains. I have to admit, I was quite intimidated at first, but after throwing down a boatload of cash on a house purchase and then having to buy over 20 curtains that all needed trimming and hemming, I really had no other choice than to figure this out on my own. The sewing machine is an ideal unit for a beginner like me. It came with all the accessories needed in order to start a few samples and test runs. I really felt that I got the hang of things after 30 minutes of use and was able to do over a third of the curtains I needed. I have to say, this small sewing machine really did a good job at what i needed it to do. The unit has a smaller footprint than my grandmother's old Singer and is really ideal for me who only needs something like this for light jobs here and there. After my curtains I'm going to take a stab at hemming my pants that i usually pay altercations for. ... show more

  • Great for little projects
Great for the price and size. Only problems I have with it is it jams frequently and cant see on anything thicker than a hoodie.

  • A good inexpensive option for beginners
This sewing machine is good enough for beginners to get started and has most of the basic functions you need to sew most projects. It's also an inexpensive option for getting your feet wet. The accessories aren't the best. You will definitely want to get a separate pair of scissors, for example. But the machine works well for me so far. ... show more

  • Verdanika countertop machine great starter (gift)
Variant tested: White, plastic/metal, 11.2” × 5.3” × 9.7”, 5.5 lb, AC Time used: ~10 days (purchased Nov 6, 2025) I bought this for my 17 year-old who just started a school class that uses this kind of tool. She likes it because it’s easy to use and compact—basically plug in and go. It doesn’t take much space and feels stable thanks to the weight. For someone just starting out, it’s been great. She’ll look for something more professional later, but for now this does the job. What we liked, simple to use, small footprint, wipes clean fast. To improve, the manual could be clearer; a little cord organizer would help. Who is it for? Beginners or school projects that need something simple and reliable. ... show more
