I purchased this mini PC to replace my old desktop PC that hosted my PLEX server. I wanted something small, but it would still be able to handle transcoding and this little guy seem to fit the bill. I am happy with it's performance so far. I have been using for about a couple months now with no hiccups and does a pretty good job with transcoding and playback. .... I returned a similar specked unit from a different mfg. The fan ran full blast even though I had every setting on max energy savings. This unit runs the fan at a slow and quiet speed. I was hoping that the fan would kick in only under load. Giving 5 stars because maybe that's how the fan is designed. Just be aware if your sensitive to noise.     • BOSGAME Won't Honor Warranty on Defective Item Because they don't make this model anymore

I bought this Bosgame mini PC and, to be fair, the first six months were lovely. Smooth performance, quiet operation, not a complaint in sight. Then the fan gave up on life and decided six months of service was quite enough, thank you. No big deal — stuff breaks, that’s what warranties are for. So I reached out to Bosgame expecting a repair or replacement. Here’s where the plot twist comes in. Bosgame informed me that because they no longer sell this exact model, they: ❌ Can’t replace it ❌ Can’t repair it ❌ Can’t offer a similar model ✔️ Can offer me… absolutely nothing 🎉 Yes — according to Bosgame logic, once a product disappears from their shelves, so does your warranty. Poof! Gone! Like it never existed so they told me to contact Amazon which doesn't sell it- it was sold thru Bosgame Direct. It’s like buying a fridge, the compressor failing, and the manufacturer saying: “We don’t make that fridge anymore, so just eat your groceries really fast.” I asked if maybe — possibly — they could replace it with something comparable? Apparently that idea wandered too close to corporate heresy. So here I sit: • One mini PC with a dead fan • A warranty that evaporated because the calendar flipped • And a customer-service story I’ll be telling for years Bottom line: If you want a PC that comes with Schrödinger’s Warranty — technically there, but useless when opened — Bosgame is your brand. I just use this to watch YouTube to free up my main rig for gaming. Video playback is SUPER smooth. Hey, it's like buying Windows 11 and getting a free computer, you can't beat that. I would absolutely buy another one.

Wasted a day with Beelink wifi that can't work on linux. Got this unit, boot netinstall usb for Debian 12, choose expert graphical install. Running Debian 12 in less than 15 min using wifi for installation. Highly recommend its Linux compatability.

    • This thing has a general issue with drives

So to start with the good: This thing does have lots of connectivity. 5 USB 3 ports, which is more than any other N100 mini PC I ran across. Combine that with the 2.5gb ethernet, and there's nothing else that has both. One unadvertised feature is that this does support UASP, which for me was needed to attach an external disk array and have it work with TrueNAS. So it has a solid feature set. The only thing that some other N100 units have it beat on is memory, with DDR5 instead of DDR4. But that's not major issue for me. Now the problems. There are multiple different drive problems. First is that it comes with a 512gb NVMe drive, and I wanted to transfer TrueNAS off a different NVMe drive onto this one (old drive is 256gb, and is M.2 2242, which doesn't fit). However when I plugged that provided NVMe drive into another system, it was non-functional. PC would recognize a drive was plugged in, but couldn't access anything on it. And I don't mean the PC didn't recognize the content, as in the filesystem, it literally could not access it at all. So because of that I then was just going to use my old drive in it. However as I mentioned, anything other than M.2 2280 wouldn't fit, and I had a 2242. The WiFi card sits underneath, so there is no place for screw holes. There's open space on the motherboard that could have been used, but they decided to stack them instead. I had to buy an extension adapter to get it mounted correctly. The next issue with drives came when I wanted to plug in a SATA drive. I tried multiple 2.5" SATA drives, and it wouldn't boot with any of them plugged in. Just sat at the "BOSGAME" boot logo, and I couldn't even get into the BIOS. Other reviews mentioned snapping the header, but that wasn't an issue for me. The header seem pretty solid. However it is hard to tell which direction to plug it in, and if you tried to force it in backwards, I can see how you might snap it (you do not need a ton of force to push it in correctly). ... show more
