If you are into crafting and need to do heat press vinyl or anything like that this is great for small items. This is a small handheld heat press so it works perfectly if you were doing say socks or sneakers or small pieces of material. I would not recommend this for doing T-shirts unless you’re doing small lettering on the T-shirt as a large patch would give uneven heating. But this is a great accessory to have if you have a cricket machine and like I said you need to do small items. ... show more

I ordered this hoping to use it to press rectangular sublimation luggage tags, but it's just a few mm too small, so still requires 2 presses. As this is a small, simple unit, there's no temperature readout and time countdown...just high, med, low settings. Need to refer to the manual to see what temperature corresponds to each setting. I think I'll make a little sticker with those temp settings so I don't have to keep pulling out the instructions. ... show more

I got this small heat press as my workspace is not very big, it's pretty much a corner that crams 4 hobbies into one space so having something small and compact is ideal. The size makes it perfect for small the medium-sized projects, you can use it on full-sized items but you will have to move it around to cover all areas. It heats up evenly and vinyl goes down very smoothly. Note the instructions wrongly tell you to do long presses of the power button to both turns it on and to change the temperature. This is incorrect. You long-press to turn it on and off, and short press to cycle between the three temperature settings. The light will flash if it's heating up and will beep and stay solid when it's fully heated. There is no timer and nothing to tell you how hot it's set to, so you will have to reference the instructions for that, but it doesn't take that long at all, maybe a minute before it gets even to the highest temperature. For something this small, this little heat press sure packs a lot of power, sure if you're doing something bigger than its work area you'll have to move it around a bit but that so far has not been an issue. It has worked on several shirts, a hat, and a (clothed) laptop case. Please though keep in mind, that this thing gets HOT. I'm not talking about mildly 'I can still lightly touch it's hot. I mean THIS CAN SERIOUSLY BURN YOU. Please do not use this when sitting down and do have shoes on. The last thing you want is to fumble and drop this into your lap or onto unprotected feet or toes. Do not at all attempt to touch the base when it's on and leave it to sit for a good 10-20 minutes once it's powered down before removing it from its cradle. Also, avoid directly touching the surface you just pressed as it too will be hot. If you handle it with care I highly recommend this if you want a nice solid heat press that isn't a huge heavy machine, this little thing can run with the big boys. ... show more
