These are a great pair of lightweight shorts that are not too light and definitely not heavy. They are breathable and quick dry material. The drawstring elastic band is good not too loose or tight. The shorts have movement in them good for my time at the gym. Comfortable to wear anytime that's casual. Pockets are decent and the color I got of gray is nice. I've got a couple of pairs of similar running shorts, both by Nike, with pockets and liners. The thing about them is the liners are different in each pair, one is a little too constricting, so I wanted another pair that has no liner. I didn't know if this pair would have a liner since they don’t mention it in the ad, but it turned out they don’t. The length is good, just above my knees, and the draw string is nice and wide. I prefer the kind of draw string that pulls from both sides around your waist, but this one is sewn down on one side. The advantage to that, I suppose, is it’s hard to accidentally pull the draw string through the waist band where it’s almost impossible to get back out. I’m digging the green color and the quick-dry material, and it’s hard to beat the price compared to what I paid for the Nikes (thinking $25-$30.) $10.49 ... show more

Really nice shorts. Comfortable to wear for gym or basketball or even just around the house. Maybe a little loose for my preference but that's just a personal preference. I have nothing negative to say about these, just really good shorts.

I love my new pair of NY threads athletic shorts. They run "just right" if not a little bigger, which is wonderful. They are extremely high quality. They are a great value and are identical to major national brands in feel, look, fit, and design. I've never had a pair of shorts arrive in a box though, that was super interesting! These shorts arrived in a really efficient tiny cardboard box, which was appreciated compared the usual plastic sleeve/bag. After wearing them a couple times, there isn't much to complain about. They fit as expected, have decent pockets, and are a nice thick material. I don't use these for athletic wear, just around the house, and they've been great for that. They seem a little generic but are still comfortable and well made. No off-putting odors coming from them when I opened them. They feel nice on the skin.
