I’ve ordered these a couple times now. They are perfect for the small solo style fire pits. I take them camping with me and don’t have to worry about local fire wood policies. I don’t recommend these if you are looking for a large traditional fire, they are small and would be used up too fast.     • These really do last a long time if you actually know how to make a proper fire.

I’ve been using this box for several months now in my little yefu table top fire pit. Seems like maybe my system is what is helping me to be able to use them for so long. And I do this in the evening when we don’t have rain. I fill it up halfway with fire pellets ( which ended up semi sawdust) as a base to extend the coals. Then I have two sticks either the little tumbleweed starter. When it at the right time in the evening it’s ready to go. I add only one when they seem a little lower but my system seems to keep the flame lasting longer to add a new stick. Yeah. If I wait a little too long to add one there will be smoke. And I do need to make sure that the upper holes aren’t covered. When the coals are still glowing I just put in a little cast iron plate for cooking and it gets really hot so it can radiate more heat evenly. You get a lot in this box if you don’t think so. They fir just fine in my 7.5” Yefu. Don’t overfill it with the wood. So far no splinters in my fingers or hands. I put them in a plastic bag in my galvanised steel container. I truly love them and will get some more for the blasting snow in the winter months. Would be great to have one ready for the shoveling time ... show more

Bought this to use in our tabletop Solo Stove. It’s perfect for our needs. The pieces are small enough to fit the smaller burner, the box is PACKED with pieces, like Tetris packed. They don’t burn slow, but we get a lot of enjoyment out of them. We can fit about 3 at a time and add more as those burn away. The only negative is they just don’t last, but I think that’s something to do with chemistry. Or physics, whichever. It’s not the fault of the sticks. A positive is we don’t have to chop down a tree and chain saw pieces small enough to fit our solo stove. ... show more

The wood burns well and I like the tongs for my mini fire top pit. The 4" size is a nice size for my table top and once the fire gets hot the fire pit kept is fairly smoke free. If you can't get your own wood this is a great alternative. The gloves in the kit are a real waste.....
