Picked this dehumidifier for very humid office area. Does it work? Absolutely. This thing fills to the point where it stops roughly in less than a week. So it's definitely doing it's job pulling moisture from the air. My biggest gripe is that emptying is a bit of a hassle compared to others where you just lift the like and dump. This one requires pulling a plug and letting the water drain. Small inconvenience. Biggest issue is that this was louder than I expected. There's a odd hum at a frequency that stops you from dozing off. Good for an office if you want to stay awake, not so great in a bedroom where you want to sleep. This is subjective so it might work for you but in my case, no go for sleeping areas.

Original purchase died after two uses.... Of course, it was after the return window. Fortunately, the seller really stands behind their products and offered a refund for the dead one, so I've ordered a replacement. Keeping this in my cab over camper through the winter to prevent any moisture over the winter!

If it is 12v why did it come with a 120 v ac adapter? Where is the 12v plug? Doesn't make any sense. Is this how you dry up humidity by burning down the house?

I put this small humidifier in a bedroom where it was an easy install to place and plug in basically, It has a small fan whirring noise that can need some getting used to but I am a heavy sleeper so it doesnt bother me if you plan on putting this in your bedroom. The sound is louder than my air filter machine I have plugged in the same room too, I noticed it does suck out the humidity with a clear holder container of the water. It is easy to pull out this container with the built in handle. GO to your sink or unplug the corner black plug and tilt and pour out the water from this corner black plug hole area, Insert black plug back as it has a nice stopper T-shaped end to prevent you from separating the plug from the container.

We used this for maybe 2 months but it started running very hot and we were afraid to use it. It's very small it only worked for our tiny office and then it was minimal. We live in a very humid environment in the summer and hoped this would help, but it was really to small to be useful. I would pass on this one

This little dehumidifier is great, but only for very specific use cases. It's going to shine for you if: 1. You're dealing with a very small space 2. You're looking for an appliance that natively runs on 12v, (e.g for your RV camper). 3. You don't need to run this long-term The main issue is that this dehumidifier uses a peltier element (technically a seebeck generator), as opposed to regular dehumidifiers that utilize heat pumps. This makes it orders of magnitudes less efficient than a regular electric dehumidifier. Another point of inefficiency is the brick of a power supply, which converts 110v wall voltage to 12v. The brick is scary hot to the touch after about just one hour of runtime. Now that we’ve aired the warnings… if you meet the 3 criteria I listed above, this little dehumidifier might be what you need. [Utilized in 12v Camper System] • While a 12v cable is not provided (why!?), it's easy enough to cut up the provided cable, and either splice in a cigarette lighter power plug or just wire it into your camper's 12v system directly. • The unit is small and light, I'd advise securing the unit down with velcro to prevent spills in transit • The unit's water container is close-top and hence pretty resistant to spills, as compared to big dehumidifiers with open drawers for water collection. • The unit is much quieter than heat pump dehumidifiers, so it's more tolerable in a small space.
