Lefties need not apply. This is made for a right-handed person. You must hold in the button while pulling the trigger. I have mastered this with my chainsaw but am not able to do this with this 4-inch saw. I will have to give it to my son who, fortunately, is right-handed.

I would have given this saw 5 stars if it were not for that fact that it does not have a quick stop feature. When you let go of the trigger the chain will make about a full revolution before coming to a stop. I used my saw to trim up some lower branches on 3 trees. Ran for about a half hour and cut branches up to 3 inched in diameter with no problems. Battery still still ran saw at full speed and recharged in about 30 minutes. I had no problems with the chain but did notice that it needed to be slightly tightened when I was done. Great little saw and I would recommend it to any homeowner. I also have a large gasoline saw but this job was so small that I did not want to deal with fueling and starting my Stihl. I plan to get another for my daughter as I am sure she will use it and enjoy it as much as I have mine. ... show more

This little chain saw is the best for cutting out brush, small trees, and vines. It is lightweight, easy to hold and use, a real work saver.
