I took my brand new Gold Monster 1000 out for a spin for the first time today. The detector lived up to my expectations, with one exception. Literally 15 minutes after I began swinging coil, the Minelab branded headphones simply fell apart on my head. Upon closer inspection I saw that one of the 'watchband' pins holding the ear cups to the headband had simply broken off the flimsy 4mm plastic tab that served as the headband anchor point. I'm surprised that they survived unboxing. I realize that Minelab didn't design or build these, but they did put their name and logo on them. C'mon people, do better.
