I like the 3 levels of intensity, however after a short time of use, the light output seems to get dimmer and this is verified, when I put it to the lower level, the intensity gets brighter.

I like this headlamp and I bought it because it has the Milwaukee brand on it. However, mine constantly switches from the brightest setting to the second-brightest setting by itself. I often have to cycle it through its brightnesses to get the highest setting, which is what I need while working in a dark basement. ... show more

Plastic hinges broke after about 2-3 weeks of usage. I work as an electrician. The light itself was nice and bright, and I like the color temperature the most out of any headlamp I could test out (4000K). However, as other reviewers have noted, this thing eats batteries. I go through 3 triple-A batteries per day and it starts dimming after 5-6 hours of use on the middle setting. The low setting is not enough for work. I've had it clipped to my hard hat, which has fallen off my head 2 or 3 times. I'm not sure what kind of impact the lamp always took. Though, I expect a Milwaukee product to be a bit more durable and work-site ready. Sadly, I will be shopping for a new headlamp, and not many have the light quality that this one does. ... show more
