I bought this Milwaukee cordless drill as a replacement for one of another brand that is now 15 years old, one that I loved and trusted. The replacement batteries for the old unit would have cost almost as much as this set, so I ordered this drill set on with some hesitation after seeing a top review in a consumer magazine. This one is lightweight, comfortable, powerful, and has a bright, clear LED light to illuminate the work. It's a surprising improvement over my old drill. It takes time to rotate the selector from drill mode to the different screw settings. The lowest screw setting isn’t low enough for many screw applications. Remember that this is a powerful 1/2” chuck drill and is meant for applications where a little more power is necessary.

    • Broken and out of warranty when I bought it.
I bought this new and used lightly in my apartment. Moved into a house and needed to charge it and discovered the batteries are defective. Checked with Milwaukee and discovered the the batteries were already 4 years old and outside warranty. Lesson learned - don’t buy tools from Amazon.

Great drill. Feels great in your hand. Great torque for a 12v drill. The kit gives you two batteries, a 4amh & a 2amh, a charger and a hard case to store them in, GREAT!
