  • Outstanding 12v Cordless Drill
I. Love. This. Drill. I desperately needed a new drill and after doing quite a bit of research, I decided to go with the Milwaukee brand. They're a reliable manufacturer, so it's kind of a no-brainer, but I was concerned with price. I really did not want to mess around with an item like this. After all you rend get what you pay for when you go cheap. But when I saw what this set was going for at the time that I purchased it, it truly was a no-brainer. 1/2" metal chuck on a 12v cordless drill that delivers this kind of power? And it comes with both the 2.0 and 4.0 battery packs. Where do I sign up?!? ... show more

  • Excellent cordless drill to have!
I am a contractor and put my tools to the test. There is so much I like about this cordless drill, the 1/2" chuck, the 4 AH battery, the case (sturdy and good clips), the metal around the chuck, led light, battery indicator. It's got good torque. The only con that you have to be aware of while you are using a good size drill bit, like an auger. Get a firm grip, I can feel the battery moving a little on heavy torques. It is just a 12 V made for smaller jobs ... show more

  • Doesn't come with the larger battery as shown
The drill does NOT come with the extra sized battery that is SHOWN in the picture with the larger base. It came with two of the smaller 12 V batteries, which is unfortunate because that is the only reason I ordered this drill is because I saw the larger sized battery in the picture posted. Other than that, the drill works OK. If you want a larger size battery like the one shown in the picture I guess you have to order it separately? ... show more

  • Now I have 2 useless chargers
It needs to be clearly stated that the battery charger is 110V only, not 110-220V Universal. Now I have 2 useless chargers

  • Excessive chuck run-out.
The drill will be rewarded a 5-star if not for one problem. When attached with a drill bit, there's a wobble of about 1/16" on the tip of the bit. This tells me that the run-out on the chuck is the cause of the problem, I had a Milwaukee hammer drill with the same problem and I figured its due to the action required for the hammer function. So I swapped to a drill/driver without the hammer option and the excess runout is also quite apparent. While I don't expect a hand drill to even come close to a drill press when it comes to precision, but surely they could have done better than having a 1/16" wobble. It seems to me it would almost be impossible these days to get a cordless drill with acceptable chuck run-outs. Upon further examination, this Milwaukee drill comes with Jacobs chuck, which has quite a good reputation, but as an OEM chuck it is not acceptable. ... show more

  • I like it. I was surprised it turned out to ...
So far, I like it. I was surprised it turned out to be just as big and heavy as my 18 volt drill and impact driver. I bought this because the 18 volt was a little too powerful for driving screws into my wood projects. This one adjusts down nicely, and performs well at max torque as well.

  • Good drill.
This is a really nice drill. I was given a Milwaukee impact driver, but that doesn't work well as a drill (or even to just drive normal screws to be honest). I had to replace my old Makita, so i got this since the batteries match. I really like it, small but powerful.

  • Good tool, at this point.
I've just had the product for a week or so. It has performed well to this point, and I like the LED light, and the power gauge. Also, the quality of the case, specifically the latching, is much better than previous all-plastic latching mechanisms in most of my earlier tools.
