This is a great tool for fine finishing. I have used it extensively for about a year and I've had no problems. I'm giving it five stars for its performance and ergonomics. But, while it's not a problem, I need to mention that the dust collector is a silly addition. It does nothing. If you are going to use this in a closed shop, I highly recommend rigging a shop vac hose is proximity to your project. Had one of these for several years before the drive bearing failed. Had to have another quickly for the job I was on and could only get a yellow one at the local hardware store. The Milwaukee Random Orbital Sander is of much better quality getting more work done at a setting of 2 or 3 than the other did at its highest setting. The yellow one only lasted for one job and had to replace it for another Milwaukee. ... show more

These work awsome I have one, my daughter and her hubby wanted to borrow it so I just bought them one so they could redo a dresser turned out fantastic . Sometimes you just need a sander with a cord instead of battery powered.

Excellent sander. Not a surprise considering it's made by Milwaukee. Excellent variable speeds. Good to have a corded sander in the shop.

This product was purchased as a gift. The recipient went to use it for the first time and it won’t turn on. Tried to get a refund and the seller said no. Don’t buy this product and especially not from this seller.

    • Exceptional value and performance
I own quite a few orbital sanders, including a Mirka, DeWalt, and Porter Cable. This one is cheaper than almost all the others, is very smooth in operation and functionality, including the speed control, balance and weight, and dust collection, and has an excellent overall design. It's a keeper, unlike some of the others (the Mirka failed after two months of light use) I first bought a Milwaukee product when I picked up a pair of they shop scissors, which I found to be exceptional, and are now in my kitchen, too. Everything since I've tried from them has been typified by high levels of design and manufacturing quality. Very recommended. ... show more
