I bought this tri-fold mattress because I had guests coming to town, one of whom has a back issue and cannot sleep on a couch or air mattress. As expected, it arrived with the air sucked out, so I opened the plastic wrap and left it out to inflate. A few hours later, I laid down on it, purely out of curiosity. My mind was instantly blown. I felt... nothing. Back pain that, for the past 15-20 years has served as a constant reminder of my existence, disappeared into a stream of tiny bubbles that flowed up and out of my body. My mind began to wander. How could something be so soft, yet so firm? The laws of physics had been broken. Involuntarily, I found myself having an out-of-body type experience normally achievable only with the aid of drugs or religion, or more likely, both. If it weren't for my impatient children dragging me off this heavenly mattress and straight onto the floor by my arms and legs so that they too, could experience a taste of mattress euphoria, I believe I would have met my maker and become the next messenger of God. UPDATE - Three years later this mattress is still the most comfortable mattress in our house. My son officially claimed it, paired it with a 3” foam mattress topper, and sleeps on it every night. Every time I try to force him to switch beds with me, he joyously reminds me that my eastern king bed literally won’t fit in his tiny room. I'm working on doing the whole Prius camping (possibly Prius Life to save money) thing and it fits perfectly, no trimming necessary. I have the rear passenger seat in its normal position. I'm using a 90L duffle bag (it's 31" long) beside the mattress and I have the white Coleman marine cooler and some Sterilite storage containers from WalMart on the floor under the mattress. First, the Milliard mats are absolutely the most comfortable mats on the market, having tested several. We just bought 2 of the toddler size and 2 of the adult (cot) size for house guests and they were very happy sleeping on them for the week. Absolutely the best. But that's not why I'm posting, I'm posting because I found the cutest carry case that fits the toddler size exactly. It's the "Large Folding Fabric Storage Bags for Blanket Comforter Clothes,High Density Material,Dual Zipper Dual Handle,Waterproof and Breathable(Pink,24"x20"x11")". Just finished our 4-day camping trip with the Queen 4-inch (in a tent directly on the ground) and all I can say is we slept better than we ever have camping before. I am 6'3", 225 lbs and approx. 18% bodyfat. As a fairly large side sleeper, I was worried my hips and shoulders would bottom out on the 4-inch and almost went with the 6-inch but thought it would be too big to lug around. I am happy to report I never felt the ground and I woke up without any pain or stiffness. My wife is super lean at 5'8" and 114 pounds. She also thought the mattress was very comfortable and slept great. I always start with reading negative reviews and I am now wondering what mattress the one star reviewers received because ours was amazing. Let's be real, this mattress wasn't as good as our Simmons Beauty Rest Black but that mattress was over $2,800.00 and it was 90% as good which makes it the bargain of the century. I did allow the mattress two days to expand and I noticed, as some other reviewers did, that the corners were still a bit compressed. This was easily fixed by unzipping the cover and pulling on the foam gently while aligning it into the cover (which a one star reviewer couldn't seem to figure out). Not that it would matter anyways because no part of your body would ever be on the corners sleeping normally. Also, the dimensions given for this mattress were not a standard queen at 78" x 58". However, after expanding, it measured a full 80" in length and 59" wide so we were pleasantly surprised. As far as odor goes, upon opening it smelled like a Temperpedic we tried years ago. After being open in the living room for 2 days and sitting in the tent for 4 days, the odor is completely gone unless you bury your nose in it and then it is not offensive in the least. I would also not really consider this memory foam, but for us that was a plus. When camping in cold weather, memory foam can be as hard as a rock. If you shift on it, then it is hard until your body heat starts to soften it and sink in. This mattress provided great, flexible support. For both my wife and me, it was neither too firm or too soft. Mattress firmness is so subjective it is really hard to know how it will feel from reviews. All I can say is both my wife and I had no pressure points and our spines felt aligned while sleeping. We woke up refreshed even after the first night, which usually isn't the case when sleeping on a new mattress. The only con I would give this mattress for camping is it is quite large when tri-folded and it took up almost half of the short bed of my Toyota Tundra. Have only used it once so far. I use this mattress for camping. I am a side sleeper and have sensitive hips like a baby. I was originally using a 3 inch memory foam topper and my hips still dug into the ground. This mattress is firm for sure but I can sleep on my side without even getting close to bottoming out, which I love. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I think if they had a layer of softer memory foam on the top third of the mattress it would be a dream. Absolutely looove this mattress. It's so unbelievably comfortable. Smells a little for the first night but I threw a sheet over it and it was gone by the morning. I'm about 230lbs and had absolutely no discomfort sleeping on this. My kids love it also. **UPDATE: 2021 Mattress Still going Strinh and comfy! **UPDATE** Nov 2018 It’s been almost 2 years and I still love this mattress! No rips yet. Still would buy again if it ever starts to rip, get lumpy, or sag. So far so good! ... show more

The mattress firs Tesla Model 3 - so you can enjoy camping in your car. It came in vacuum-compressed bag, and took about 24 hours to uncompress to proper dimensions. I would strongly suggest to get matching carry bag - as the mattress is bulky and much easier to carry in the bag. No complaints about comfort - as expected from 4" mattress. ... show more
