My wife has been on me for quite awhile because I have lost a lot of weight and my clothes are way too big. My old belts not only fit through the first set of loops on my shorts but also hang down about six inches. It looks sloppy but I like those old belts, both the patterns and how well they stretch. So I started shopping on Amazon for a replacement to try that would fit better than what I currently have. The belt that stuck out as far as number of reviews and being highly rated was this Braided Stretch Elastic Belt. The width and weaving result in a strong yet stretchable belt that is also comfortable and good looking. I like that the tab at the end of the material is small. That allows the wearer to fasten the buckle wherever convenient instead of having to fight with a limited number of holes in a longer tab. Two words of caution here. The first is that I ordered the Navy color which comes so dark that it looks almost black. The second concerns the length. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this belt is 43" long from the end of the tab to the beginning of the buckle. Including the buckle it is actually 45" long. I also like the width since it fills the loops on my tactical shorts and pants without turning over on itself. The construction and design of this belt is great. If this belt lasts as long as it appears it will, it is a real steal at $11.99. In fact I'm going to order another color to back it up.

This is my favorite belt! The stretch is comfortable and keeps my shorts at my waist. Durable, too - been wearing it most days for almost a year, and it doesn't show any wear.

My husband has been losing weight. Of course, he decided to do this right after he got new pants and belt. Getting the pants taken up was expensive. He purchased this belt so he would be able to use it for awhile as it will be easy to adjust as no holds. So far he is very pleased with his purchase and it is working as expected.

I have a 36" waist and, of course, typically buy 38 " belts. The description characterizes the belt as being made of leather. Leather stretch belts stretch a little bit and that's what I thought I'd get. This belt is mainly stretchable material, not leather. Because of this the belt stretches a great deal and winds up being way too long when it is finally snug. I would advise going one size lower and stretch to your normal waist.
