This air filter is The Chosen One fortold in prophecy. Long have I yearned for the fresh air stolen by our modern world and promised by dreams of health, freedom and prosperity. Life's problems fade a little bit with every breath I draw. I now breath as though free. (for real though, the one thing keeping this from 5 stars across the board is that the smart feature "quiet mode" seems to over ride everything else, regardless of what the air is like. Mount Doom could be belching sulfur and ash directly into my living room and silent mode will restrain Mila from selecting any other automagic setting. If my living room is darkened by the fires of Mordor, I need to manually intervene and adjust the dull-witted automagic mode to get any relief. Some of the automagic modes really need user adjustable upper and lower AQI thresholds.) ... show more

The setup was very easy. I did have a small problem on the app after the 3rd day of having Mila, but it was a known problem that was being worked on. Customer service responded very quickly and the problem was resolved. The air purifier works great. The air smells fresh and clean. The part that I was really impressed with was the humidity alert that I received. I have the Mila air purifier on the finished side of the basement. I checked our dehumidifier on the unfinished side of the basement and it was not working. I was glad that Mila detected that the humidity level was high and alerted me early so I could get the problem fixed. I'm pretty impressed with it so far. ... show more

Worked great while it worked. I bought it to help control dog odor in my small (1200sq ft) home. I have three dogs, sometimes I’d come home and get hit with that “doggy” smell. The Mila worked great in the main living area of our home, which probably accounts for about 800sq ft. It’s sensors are sensitive and because my house is so small the most central location for it just happens to be about 10 feet away from my stove, so whenever I cooked anything the Mila seemed to think the air quality was suddenly deadly and it would kick into high gear. But it did really clear the air fast, and those doggy odors were a thing of the past. I was never able to purchase the pet-specific filter for this as they were always out of stock, but I got the expectant mother one which also had charcoal for odor control, and it worked like a champ. Overall very pleased with this until it suddenly died this month. It’s two years and two months old, and for the price it seems short-lived. I have other air purifiers in our bedrooms that cost less than half and have been going strong for years and years. I emailed support but once I confirmed I was out of the warranty period they basically ghosted me, with no further advise for me. I also occasionally had issues with wifi connectivity, especially towards the end of its life. Not a huge deal as I rarely had cause to use the app in conjunction with it. I won’t buy this brand again. I bought another brand for less than half what a Mila costs, even with the 3-year warranty I bought to go with it, and I’m very impressed with it. ... show more

This filter has stopped working correctly after one month. The AQI reading has suddenly jumped to a sky high number with no clear cause - nothing in the house has changed to explain this. Resetting the unit does nothing. I replaced the very expensive filter with no change. No response to my inquiry to the manufacturer. Very disappointed. Edit: The company support was subsequently responsive and worked with me to correct the fault with the unit. My only complaint is that it is louder than I would like on automatic mode when it 'ramps up' to a higher speed. ... show more

It's been a positive experience but the app really needs to support variable Bedtime/wake up schedules (it currently only supports one bedtime schedule). Bubble Boy Mode is a hilarious name and I love the accompanying video, and yes, I use it! The white noise mode has been the best feature for me, i was specifically looking for a purifier with this ability ... show more

Update 4/12: I am sufficiently impressed with the air filter that I have already purchased a second one to use upstairs in my house. Still can't recommend this enough! I've only had it setup for 24 hours, but first impression is excellent. The unit is securely packaged, and it arrived right on time. Setup is extremely easy. All you have to do is take it out of the box, remove the front panel to take the filter out and remove the plastic, then put it back in and plug it in! The filter turns on with the flip of a switch on the bottom next to the power cord. It boots up and instantly starts calibrating its sensors, which takes about 60 seconds. Connecting to the app is very simple. The app walks you through it and it took me less than a minute to get it up and running. The app and the filter itself give you updates on how your air is looking, and it definitely responds quickly to any changes in the environment. Last night, I fried some chicken for dinner, and the air quality index rating shot up on the filter. It immediately started working overtime to get the air cleared of any of the pollutants put off by frying. With the fan on it's highest setting, it can be fairly loud, but normal running speeds are barely perceptible. There are different modes you can put the filter in as well to avoid having the fan going full speed, or to meet the needs you have. I can already tell a difference in how easy it is to breathe in my house. Obviously, I will update this review in the future if the need arises, but as of right now, I can highly recommend the filter to anyone who is suffering from the evils of spring and pollen. ... show more
