According to AHAM air changes per hour (ACH) is the measure of the outside air volume added to a space divided by the volume of that space over a set amount of time. Sound pressure on low. I bought two different units at once to see which one I would like better. This unit was so quiet and did such a great job that we didn’t bother opening up the second unit from a different company. I ended up ordering a second one for the loft and it’s nice and quiet. I do have an IQAir Healthpro Plus that I use for the main floor and this seems to do almost as good of a job. I needed a small inconspicuous air purifier for our small bathroom with cat box. We keep the box immaculate but the barley litter has an odor even when clean. Wanted to make sure we were never those people with the house that smells like a cat box, so tried this purifier and it works BEAUTIFULLY. Within an hour the small toilet room in our master suite was fresh smelling with no trace of cat little odor. This is a GREAT PURCHASE.     • Quiet mode is QUIET
The media could not be loaded. The device works well, the quiet mode is quiet, and you have no problems to sleep. It definitely is giving me a good feeling knowing that the air is being cleaned constantly. The only downside would be the button on the top, maybe I have two thick fingers, but sometimes when I click it, it doesn’t react perfectly. See video. Mine was delivered 10/17/23 and I started using it immediatley. Today 2/25/24 I've changed the filter for the first time, a few weeks overdue for its use in my apartment. Poor filter, I overworked it, it was filthy. It's easy to change the filter and easy to clean the unit with a Clorox wipe. It's quiet and simple to use. I keep it on the highest setting. I have no complaints and I recommed it for anyone looking to cover a 432 square foot area. I have an open concept kitchen and it takes care of cooking odors and keeps the air fresh in the dining and living areas. Plus I bought the blue pre-filter for $6.99, so that is nice to change when changing the filter. The grey pre-filter that came with the unit was filthy as well. Also, I think its an attractive, understated unit that blends well with any decor. I plan on purchasing a second unit, the BLUEAIR Mini that covers 223 square feet. If you don't expect more from the unit than its floor coverage allows I think you won't be dissappointed. ... show more

    • Works Well At Reducing Dust
I ordered this air filtration unit to help reduce dust build up in my bedroom and so far it has been working quite well. At night I set it at the mid level and the noise level is low enough that it does not disturb my sleep and also keeps the air circulating well. During the day time, I run it at full speed which is a little louder but not an issue when I am not in the room.     • A relatively quiet air purifier
I had used Honeywell air purifiers for years. Although they worked very well, they were extremely loud to a point that I rarely ran the highest level. I decided to shop for a new brand and was impressed by the many positive reviews on the BLUEAIR purifiers. I bought the 511 model because it was less than $100, very cheap when comparing to the Honeywell ones. I have to say though the operation of the 511 is not very intuitive. I couldn't figure out how to switch mode at first after playing with it for 10 minutes. I finally gave up and read the manual. Another issue I noticed is the power button is extremely sensitive. Many times I thought it was off only found out it was running hours later. It is possible my cat (yes, my four-legged friend) turned it on inadvertently when he was sitting on it. Or I somehow touched the power button by accident when moving it. At any rate I do like the quietness of the 511 especially when running in the lower speeds. I have bought a lot of generic air purifiers over the years so this is the first brand name air purifier I’ve purchased and I see a huge difference in quality and effectiveness. I’ll likely never buy a different brand again. It does an excellent job at cleaning the air and it is quiet. It took me a minute to figure out the settings which are not super intuitive but I also like that I can turn the light off so it doesn’t disturb my sleep. Very easy to set up and is quite silent! The overhead fan makes more noise than this thing, and the air improvement is subtle but noticeable
