I wasn't able to open the drill the day I received it. When I opened it some time later the very top plastic guard had a crack in it. I reported it to Zelcan on May 22nd and they had a replacement top to me by May 29th!!! I will buy from them again no doubt. Thus far, the drill is working great, I haven't worked it super hard just yet but so far, for my purposes, it's what I want and need. Thanks y'all! ... show more

Amazing drill for the price. Worked great at every possible angle. I had to do 18 back to back 11/16" holes through 5/8" steel and it didn't even blink. Handle with gloves. The bits are so sharp, one sliced through my hand just taking it out of the package. Amazon gets 1 star for delivering it though. It said next day, so I ordered it over the competitor's drill that is 1.5" shorter and they took a couple of extra days to deliver it. At 15.7" tall, it didn't fit in joist spaces, so I had to cut and patch joists that I wouldn't have needed to if it was a bit shorter. ... show more

Only drilled A few 1.25" holes through 3/8 mild steel so far, but it did it with no effort. I didn't bother hooking up the automatic oiler based on other reviews, but if you're sitting next to it to work anyways it's not any extra work put a little oil on the bit. The drill has a little bit of wobble. The hole itself was decently clean, not spectacular but good enough. ... show more

We have gone through 3 different types of mag drills, they tend to get pushed to their limits in a fabrication shop, but so far this magdrill has been up to the challenge. Great features such as the ability to install a drill bit chuck , speed control, and the column itself is very stout. No slop for tight tolerance of holes and for saving your annular cutters from destruction. If I have to replace it, I'd buy the same one again ... show more

This didn't turn on right out of the box. I was sent to a troubleshooting page as a way to make it right. I feel that I should not have to work on it the day I received it so I asked for a refund.
