Great Home Use Arms machine with minimal space

This equipment is a low cost alternative to the n major gym equipment. I liked the adjustment up and down on the slide bar for different exercises. This is predominately an arms exercise piece of equipment but is very space conscious for home use. In my application in the basement the wall is offset above a concrete base so we did need to create a wood block to secure to the wall. Highly recommend attaching to the wall for stability. The unit hardware provided included screws for wood support and also concrete anchors Assembly was reasonably easy but the directions for installation are pictures only. The cables do need to have all the pulleys off while getting treaded. I am very pleased with the equipment and use it daily

Perfect addition to my home gym. Easy to assemble and very sturdy if anchored properly. Make sure you lubricate the slides with silicone. It will help tremendously with the function of the machine. Overall, great cable machine for the money.

Great value for this beginner

Very happy with this purchase. There were no missing parts, and everything was pretty straight forward to assemble. Stringing the cables was the only part that required extra thought. I would alter the instructions for the long cable- start stringing the cable from the back (on the weight carrier) and then work your way to the front of the machine, alternating between pulleys on both sides of the machine. Other advice- the only time i had holes not line up for bolts to go through, it was because the unit was not standing perpendicular. Easy enough to fix, even though it meant loosening some parts to make it straight. I love the small footprint, although i can also see outgrowing this in a couple of years. More likely is that i will add accessories (like a weight bench) in order to add even more exercises to choose from. (Struggling to find a way to do leg extensions, currently. The only thing i don’t like about it so far is the d-ring handles. They have some ridges on them for grip, i suppose, but they are uncomfortable at times. I will probably upgrade those. Still giving 5 stars, primary due the value/cost ratio ($208). Included in the value recognition is the removal of excuses. No more (“I don’t have time to get to the gym”, “i need to stay home to catch a delivery”, “the gym is too crowded, and i will have to wait”). Now the internal conversation is “i have time to get some arm/leg/whatever work in”.

Solid machine for the price point

I’ll get straight to the point: Pros: 1. Can’t beat the price. Got it on a prime day special for under $200. 2. Straight forward assembly. Took about an hour with my 6 year old “helping”. 3. Build quality seems solid. Will definitely be tough enough for anything I’ll be doing with a cable tower. Cons: 1. Weight trolley doesn’t glide very smoothly. Without any weights added it won’t go back down on its own and the cable will get off the pulleys. At this price point it’s understandable but would be nice to pay just a little more for ball bearings vs the plastic guides. 2. If you’re over 5”6’ don’t plan on doing lat pull downs. I’m 6’3” and sitting on a standard bench I get about 3/4 range of motion. Figured this was the case going in but just something to note. 3. The adapter that lets you connect both cables to one attachment ends up blocking the pop pin to move the trolley up and down. Not a huge deal but kind of a pain since that adapter has some sharp edges. Definitely not the same as something you would find at a commercial gym but then again you’re also not paying several grand.

I was a bit skeptical how well this thing would be but I will admit, the quality is surprisingly good. It isn't without some compromises. The unit I got was the one where you add your own weights, not the built in weights. Overall, the system feels great to use. The stock pulleys are plastic which is really my only issue. I'm a bit concerned how long they will last, but with that said, there is nothing stopping you from purchasing ones that are metal and have bearings. I will say, even though they are plastic, the unit is VERY smooth to use. This is without any lubricant added. I'm sure like others have stated, adding some would make it even smoother. It's a great addition to the home gym which was lacking cable machine for additional exercises. Assembly was extremely easy, took about an hour. It can be done with one person but having a helping hand with assembling the pulleys would make things even easier. The instructions are fairly easy to understand as the unit isn't complicated to put together. The bolts, nuts and washers all come labeled in a pack so it's easy to know which ones you need. If anyone is concerned with the dimensions it is accurate. I have low ceilings in my basement which are exactly 82in and the unit did fit. The back brace that goes on the wall can be adjusted accordingly. The unit does NOT come with hardware for concrete walls so you'll need concrete anchors if you plan on mounting this to a concrete wall. I had some tapcon anchors and a washers on hand so it wasn't a big deal, but keep that in mind if you plan doing that. It does have plastic expansion pipes with the wood bolts that might work, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are pulling heavy weights with this thing.

Highly effective and worth the price

I use this a 2-3 times a week and it has been a great addition. I put it together myself on an afternoon without issue. I do recommend you have a ratcheting socket set and some decent wrenches. I'd also strongly recommend you be sure to anchor it properly into a wall stud. I live in an apartment and purchased based on functions and size. This unit was perfect and met all expectations.
