  • Bees love and need it (sometimes they need it)
They are simple and work well

  • Pull Up Bottle a Bit. Use C & H Pure Cane Sugar Pull Up Bottle a Bit. Use C & H Pure Cane Sugar
Update: You have to put these on a slant or the juice won't come out. I am no longer using them because it's too difficult to get it just right. I almost didn't buy this because of all the bad reviews but there weren't many other options so I thought I would give two packages of them a try. I am impatient so I didn't read the directions that you were supposed to lift the bottle part up a bit, so I did that with the second one as you could see on the top part of the video. In 30 minutes it's going to be empty soon. I do wish there was a larger container but this is working great and I have four total. The first one I pushed it all the way down and wasn't thinking there was no way for the sugar water to get out, so for the second one I didn't push the canister all the way down. I think you need a little bit of a slant for the fluid to come out as well. But perhaps not. I just put some artificial turf on my dirt so it's not very level and it's flowing out OK. I recommend these. ... show more

  • Very nice, but could be improved
I do like these water/feeder containers for bees. They work much better than the ones designed to slide into the entrance and use a perforated mason jar lid to dispense. These use a platform with bumps, so the bees will not drown. It relies on vacuum and gravity to keep the water/feed level at the correct height. They are versatile and can be placed anywhere the surface is level. My recommendation for improvement would be to have a screw in attachment for the jar, like a typical jar/lid. This just slides in and is not all that tight, so it could be knocked out if bumped. ... show more

  • must have for beekeepers
Used for when starting a new colony or needing to feed the hive. Made feeding safer for the bees so they were not getting stuck in water or honey if you give that back to the bees. The raised bumps allows the bees to walk around on it safely while drinking up what your feeding them so your not risking any harm to them. ... show more

  • Bees love it
It was easy to use, however you need to take precautions to make the opening smaller otherwise the bees get inside it and drown. I took a glue gun and made the opening smaller and it worked great after that. Bad part also is if the bees actually use it, it doesn't have enough liquid to feed many. Had to change it out twice a day. ... show more

  • Water doesn't dispense, Not attraction for bees
We have bee hives on our property out in the pastures. I wanted to attract bees to my vegetable gardens, so I thought these would be great. First of all, they are much smaller than I expected. But that was okay. The main problem is that the water doesn't dispense down into the tray as needed. Even shaking or giggling it, it doesn't come out well. They are easy to take a part and clean, but be warned, they get nasty inside!! Lastly, even when I had it full of water, I never once saw any bees, bumblebees, butterflies or any pollinator using it. Ants crawled over it, but no pollinators. ... show more

  • This is a great product I've had no problems with it not even one dead bee This is a great product I've had no problems with it not even one dead bee
This is a great feeder if you look at the photos I notched the yellow pad and also the cup that holds the sugar water. This will allow the sugar water to come out faster because the bees drink it up very fast once empty the bees can access the inside clean it completely out and then leave. Without notching the cup the sugar water doesn't come out fast enough. ... show more

  • Bees are loving it. Bees are loving it.
For the price, you can't beat it. I fill the feeders up with sugar water (1 cup cane sugar to 1 cup of water) and the bees love it. It took some time for them to care about them though. The feeders are right below a Russian sage bush, so they were busy with that. I've attracted hornets as well, but they haven't been a bother. ... show more
