The quality feels premium; they have a nice weight and don’t feel flimsy at all. They’ve held up really well in the dishwasher and microwave, no cracking, staining, or chipping so far. These dishes have a pretty wildflower pattern on white bone china. Dinner plates & salad plates are large with a rim that will keep foods from dripping. Dishes are a good weight & can be used with different colored linen placemats & complimentary chargers for a more formal look or with natural woven or denim placemats for a chic country table setting. Order of 8 place setting arrived with one chipped dinner plate but Mikasa quickly & courteously stated they would send a replacement. I know I will enjoy using these Mikasa Quinn dishes for many different occasions. I normally collect neutral colored dishes but this pattern makes me smile …. they have my favorite flowers & are pretty without being too formal. ... show more

These are so pretty. I bought them for this Passover so, I won't know about chip resistance until my family and I actually use them (hoping my hubs and son don't damage them in the toveling process!). They seem heavy duty and the finish is consistent so, I'm sure they will hold up well and since they're only going to be used once a year, they should last a lifetime. As far as dishwasher safety, I never use my dishwasher so I couldn't comment to that end. I have limited storage for my Passover dishes so the round shape works best for me and as a bonus, the plates have raised lips so that helps limit any food spills which is perfect for saucy brisket! I ordered matching mugs from Mikasa since they aren't available on Amazon. ... show more

Beautiful and great quality! I love how lightweight and classy these are. They are easy to wash and hold up surprisingly well. No chips or scratches yet with regular use and I love the lighthouse.

    • Beautiful but check set carefully

I bought two sets and had to return one due to quality issues. Several plates had pitting and/or scratches on the surface. This set appeared to be brand new and the other set is perfect so I don't know if it is quality control or bad luck. I will be reordering after stock gets a chance to rotate a bit because I really do love these dishes. They are a nice weight but still feel very sturdy. The entire plate is flat and smooth and curved up at the very edge to keep the flood from sliding off, as a result even the small plates have plenty of room for a small meal or snack. The cereal bowls are a good size and shape. I was lucky enough to find a set of 8 pasta bowls elsewhere in this Quinn pattern (not included in this set) and they match perfectly so if you already own some of this pattern you can feel confident this set will match. I am overall very happy with these, just a little disappointed about the issues with the one set. ... show more

Nice plates, but 1 was broken. I emailed Mikasa with problem and picture, still waiting for a response to replace 1 plate or return whole set and wait for another broken set. UPDATE: I emailed Misaka and they answered within 1 hour, asked for pix of broken plate and invoice. I sent the pix within 5 minutes and received their answer within 5 minutes that said all was ok and a new dish would be sent out immediately. A couple days later the dish was delivered by UPS in a big super insulated box. The plate is great and I'm a happy camper. Thank you Mikasa!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more
