My dog & I love this collar. It’s light, so soft on the inside & seems durable. This is the only collar I’ve found that hasn’t irritated my dog’s extremely sensitive skin & he doesn’t try to take it off. The medium grey fits my 22# pug with lots of room to grow & looks stylish on his black coat. I worried about the velcro, but it’s not an issue. The scratchy side of the velcro is completely covered & doesn’t snag on anything. There is a separate plastic tab to hang ID tags. I would prefer that to be metal, but it’s small & lays down flat, so no complaints. I use a harness for walking, so I can’t comment on the collars performance with a leash, but for all other intents & purposes it’s a great collar. I would definitely recommend for any dog that is prone to rashes or has collar sensitivities.

I was so upset when I couldn't find this collar on Chewy anymore! It's so comfortable and firm enough for a 54 pound Labrador Retriever who loves to drag you everywhere. A large is still his size, and the grey collar looks great with his black coat. I've never had any issues with the ring snapping, the only problems I've had are human error. You think you've snapped the collar into place and next thing you know you're out the door and the collar comes flying off. So make sure it clicks on before you're outside! Also, this collar is great because it's adjustable. So even if you accidentally get a size smaller you may be able to adjust it, unless of course, you have a growing dog and their neck will only expand. Measure around correctly, loose, and not too tight to the skin to avoid getting a smaller size. I wash this collar and dry it in the dryer so after a year and a half it may come apart, but it's good for two years. I dare say three without a wash, at your risk of mites or allergens of course. Anyway, we're on our third collar, this our forever collar.

We were looking for a good, sturdy collar for our big guy and we're glad to have found this one. The collar itself is very well made. It has a nice clip that's easy to put on and take off, an extra loop for dog is tags and the neoprene is nice to keep the collar from rubbing on their neck. Its nice that it's reflective too since our boy is almost all black and super hard to see at night. There were two issues we had with this collar... The first is that there is not much room for size adjustment on this collar. It would probably be easy to make the collar larger but making it smaller would have the velcro strap hang off as the velcro does not go all the way around the collar. The second is that we have only had this collar for a month or two and have already had issues with making the velcro stay put. It seems like very strong velcro but it has worn down quickly and the stitching has come out as well. I am disappointed by this but liked the collar well enough that I replaced the hook part of the velcro that was falling off and added a heavy duty snap that should fix the problem. Would have given 5 stars if not for this issue. All in all I am pleased with this and our boy seems to like it as well.

Wow, I love this collar. I have about 100 different ones (slight exaggeration) and have never had a "wow" reaction right after taking it out of the box. The little one prefers a collar to harnesses on exploration hikes (less restricting, I'm assuming) and the various nylon and leather collars for dogs her size were too thin and not distributing the weight when dragging the long line (by the way, biothane long lines are the BEST.) So this collar and why I love it: - It's relatively wide but not out of proportion for her size so more area to support the weight of the line. - It's super soft on the inside, padding all around. She doesn't have a problem with chafing (enough fur) but I imagine it's more comfortable than a thin strip of nylon. - It's pretty sturdy but, and this was a big one for me, still very light weight. And finally, it looks cool. ;) She's convinced she's a serious hunting dog, and it fits her personality better than a pink collar with rhinestones. I've looked for a new collar for about a month now, glad I settled on this one. Awesome.

This is a really nice padded collar that has a very sturdy Velcro adjustable flap that really stays put. It IS a little thicker than flat collars because of the padding but it doesn't dig into the neck like the flat collars can. I have a very hyper rescue who is a shepherd, collie, hound mix and very athletic and he does well with it. I did have to make sure to do any adjustments to the size OFF of him and THEN put it on cause he got kind of freaked out by the sound of the velcro by his ears! It is well made, looks really nice and is very sturdy. I like that it has a separate loop for his tags and one for the leash. The loop for the tags also stops that jingling and clanking that most collars seem to allow. It makes it nicer and quieter for him and for me. Since he is so high energy I use a harness with him instead of hooking the leash to the collar but the harness goes on and off around the collar just fine. REALLY nice product!

Lasted for not even 2 mos before the Velcro split from the collar. Now the extra just flaps. It is comfy and my dog wasn’t bothered by it at all like other collars so 5 stars for comfort 0 stars for durability. 3 overall is generous.
