I love the carrier but my son was taking our cat to vet today (2/28) and carrier almost came apart. He managed to keep it together enough so our cat wouldn't jump out. I called customer svc number listed on their site and I was beyond please. First of all, I spoke to someone here in the states and she was super helpful. They are sending me new hardware set. No questions or money asked for. She apologized for the incident. I will definitely order from them again, simply for their customer service. ... show more

This carrier is all plastic except for the door, which is some type of metal. It works. It was less expensive when I didn't have the money to spend on a more expensive one. What I liked - Easy to assemble. My cat fits in it (and, btw, she loved the paper that came with the package as a toy. LOL) She's a small cat. The carrier is sturdy and I've had no problems that way I didn't give it five stars on sturdiness because I can see a future problem. It performs the function of a carrier really well when it's just to the car then to the house. I let my cat out while traveling. What I didn't like - It's a little small for traveling. So, if you want one for traveling, get the next size up from what you think you need. I have a small cat and I wouldn't leave her in it for traveling. The locking method for the door. It's a bit cheesy. The prongs of the door fit into "locks" that are in the carrier (you install the locks - they snap in) and you line up the locks with the grooves in the carrier. Then you turn all four locks to keep the door in place when closed. If you want the door to swing, you have to turn two of the locks. It's awkward to deal with. The locks are plastic just like the body of the carrier, and I can see this becoming an issue after a lot of use. Also, I accidentally took the door off one time and my cat escaped! (She doesn't like to be confined in any way, shape, or form.) Because the carrier came in pieces, I'm wondering about future stability. The top and bottom snap together, so I'm a little concerned that with regular use it might come apart. I've only used it four times since I got it. All in all, if one is looking for an inexpensive carrier and doesn't expect it to be a travel carrier or to put heavy animals in it, it's great. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would. I'm satisfied with my purchase, and in the same circumstances, I would purchase it again. ... show more

*update* It has been over a year since we started the rescue, and despite loads of wear and tear, and sterilizing, the carriers we got at the beginning are still going strong. The reasons why we love these carriers and they’re the only one on our wishlist remains the same! I have gone back and read some of the reviews, and I feel like there is one important note. There have been a lot of people mentioning issues with the doors, and one of our fosters experienced that. We had her bring it back to switch it out, but we noticed that one of the little “doorknobs” was not seated properly. They have to be pushed all the way in or everything won’t align properly. ——————————————————————— I own a cat rescue so I do a lot of things that require the use of carriers. We LOVE these. Of course we get donations of carriers and things, but those we adopt out with our cats and kittens, and these we specifically buy and request on our wish list! They are fantastic! Why we love them so much: 1) Because the doors come off easily. I will often leave carriers with blankets laying around for vet transport day. It gives everyone the opportunity to get used to the carriers so when they see them they don’t freak out. Plus they become a place of comfort for them, so even when we are traveling there is minimum howling. I’ve found with the other carriers that the doors can get stuck closed which means a kitty is locked in there until I notice, and that’s not the case with these. 2) Makes vet time and decompressing easier. I work with a lot of unsocialized kittens and I like to give them time to decompress in a safe, enclosed environment. They get a day or two with the top on, and then we take the top off and leave them with the bottom half. With the other types of carriers this is a chore and a half with all of the screws. They’re also great at the vet for this reason! The ease of removing the top means that the techs and vets don’t have to stick their hands in a carrier, and the cats don’t have to feel threatened. 3) These have really good air flow! 4) The plastic is durable and has stood up to massive amounts of sterilizing! So far I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about this carrier. Usually there are a few things that are irritating enough that I dislike using one, but I haven’t found that to be the case. They’re sturdy and easy to use, and I feel safe carrying even my 16 pound cat in one. ... show more

This is a nice carrier. The only thing is I didn’t receive all the parts to it. It’s missing one of the latches. I previously ordered a smaller size and returned it because it was too small for my kitten so I decided to go with the next size both carriers were missing parts. When I sized up, it was a perfect size for my 7 pound cat. Plenty of room to grow. Although this was the perfect size. I am finding that the door does not stay on good. Especially if i only want one side open to put kitty in the carrier. The door completely falls off. The latch turn knobs are in the right spot to be locked but thr door still falls off. If my kitty was an escape artist this would not be my choice of carrier. Once I put the door on completely when the kitty is in the carrier, then it seems as if it’s pretty secure. But I would not trust it with a stronger cat or one that tries to get out. ... show more
