It's good quality love the idea of having a back up mount. I have knocked my camera off my kayaking while fishing and would have lost it if it hadn't be tethered as a back. My only complaint is it is not completely universal. Not all mounts slide in easily and I had to use a butter knife to get one out. The mount it comes with is perfect but the ones that came with my camera are a smidge bigger so it's a tight fit. Aside from that this is an awesome product.

Well it stuck on fin I gave it a day to dry .. I stuck it on my SUP board on the small crappy wave days , I surfed with the GoPro action cam on the mount it lasted for most of the Sesh then one waste high wave took it out good thing I had the safety string mount installed it saved the GoPro but the Maine base mount came right off ... I’ll have to put some 3m double side tape on it to replace the double side tape that was on there .. I even had real surf style GoPro mount fall off my short board one time on a beach break. Let’s say I lost that 399 GoPro that day!! So just invest in some good double side tape and don’t for get to stick on that safety string line on their!!!!

Used this on my board and it worked great for my Gopro. Definitely be sure to use the plastic insert to keep the camera in snug. A sizeable wipeout tore my camera out of the slot, but when I used the plastic piece I had no issues.

My son had a mount which used a suction cup. I think he is over that and wants something that won't fall off. This is what he is using now. Time will tell.

This for my camera perfectly. Only nit is that a few instructions would have been nice or a QR code directed the instructions. I went to the website and there weren’t any instructions either. I’ll update how it holds up. 02/22/2024: On the first use, the casing opened up when hit by a wave after about an hour use. My camera may have been ruined. I will be returning this product and search for another brand.
