Description

The iCrate folding metal dog crate by MidWest Homes for Pets includes all of the features you will need to provide a convenient, safe & secure pet home for your best friend, from puppy to adulthood. This crate includes a divider panel allowing you to adjust the size of the living area as your puppy grows. The plastic leak-proof pan allows easy clean-up in the event of an accident. A strong plastic carrying handle is included for convenient portability, and rubber feet on the bottom of the crate protect the floors inside your home. We recently enhanced the safety and security of the iCrate by adding locking tips on the slide-bolt latches to securely lock the door and patented Paw Block, which prohibits your dog from tampering with the door lock from the inside. MidWest iCrate crates also feature patented rounded side clips that reduce possible sharp points to ensure a safe experience for you and your pet. Every iCrate metal dog crate conveniently folds down flat for travel. The 22" iCrate (model 1522DD) measures 22.51L x 14W x 16H inches and is suitable for "extra- small" dog breeds. Please note the term "extra-small” breed is subjective. For the best fit, we advise that you check the measurements of the dog crate and select a size that will be suitable for your dog's ADULT weight and measurements. Your dog should be able to comfortably sit upright, lay down, and easily turn around inside the crate. When in doubt, we suggest you purchase a larger crate option. Midwest products are great. This is the third crate I have ordered. The two other ones are excellent and arrived without problems. This crate that was sent is an old model. New models have improved clasps to secure the doors, but the old model has straight ones which aren't puppy proof. My crate arrived in a very old beat up box with a prior shipping label cut out and foot prints left behind by the person who walked on it, causing the crate to be out of square and difficult to assemble. That said, the new models of Midwest crates are excellent, extremely east to assemble and to move if necessary. I am returning this one and have already ordered its replacement. Hopefully, Amazon will deliver a current model in a sturdy unused box, properly sealed and delivered. ... show more

I do plan on getting a puppy soon and needed a new dog crate. However I needed it almost immediately because a stray cat had kittens under my porch. I caught them and put them in the crate. For a couple of kittens it was very spacious and durable. I removed the divider. I don't see how the divider serves a purpose. If you wanted to separate puppies but how would you get to the one in the back it there's no 2nd door. I wish there was a side door too. It would have made the divider usable. Easy enough to set up but I'm not sure if that's because I already knew what I was doing. ... show more

I don't know how some people can spend double in this same thing! I love this and its perfect! I have a 90 lbs german shepard and I was worried about getting a cage big enough for her for a decent price and i tell you, this cage exceeded my expectations. I got the 42in one entrance with divider ( cause it was cheaper) and this things felt like double the price. It was very sturdy and heavy duty but not super heavy in weight, just big. My dog fits in in with still some wiggle room. If your unsure of size like i was, i'd say if your dog is 100lbs or less, the 42 will be perfect. No complaints ... show more

When I first got this crate, I knew I wanted to use it for crate training, however, I seriously had no idea what I was doing. Nada. Zilch. I thought we were all set. We have the crate. We have the puppy. Now what? It comes with a divider. I thought the divider was for two dogs, until my daughters fiancé showed me how to use it :-) If anybody else doesn’t know, the divider is designed to give them just enough room to turn around, lay down comfortably and sleep. You can adjust the divider as the puppy grows. Apparently, if you don’t use the divider, they will potty in the crate. The crate is working well for our puppy. I felt like a meany at first, but, it all worked out. Our puppy will randomly visit her crate during the day and does not see the crate as a punishment. The assembly is super easy. It’s strong, it’s sturdy & it’s actually bigger than what I visualized. It has this tray in the bottom that slides out for easy cleaning. The doors and latches are easy to use. It is definitely chew proof! It is difficult for me to adjust the divider as she grows, so I try to do that when somebody strong is available to help. I have 3 yorkies ranging from 4 - 5.5 lbs. These kennels are perfect for them. I can actually have the 2 smallest ones in the same kennel and there is still plenty of room but each one has their own.
