Unit is well built. I like that the temperature control is in the back of unit and not inside. Shelves are cooled like a big upright and not cheap plastic inserts. Current daily electric consumption is 330 watts in a 75F environment. I sliced up some 1/2”-3/4” thick tenderloin steaks. I individually wrapped in film. Then layed them flat in ziplocks on individual shelves. They were partially frozen within 6 hours and solid by morning when i woke up. The freezer also had 4 pint containers gelato, 2 fatboy bar boxes, 2 klondike boxes, 3 bags frozen veggies, and some Italian ice cups. While still allowing the room to lay out (2) 1 gallon ziplocks flat on the shelves. Also there was an additional quart of streak shreds in the bottom basket with the veggie bags. I would recommend to anyone looking for a small upright freezer. There were a few small dimples on top. Not sure how since shipping box was intact. It didn’t bother me or function. Its cosmetic thats all. Hence 4 instead of 5! ... show more

This freezer fits my criteria for home furnishings and appliances -- namely, I can move it by myself. I am a single retiree. My grocery requirements are not huge, so this fridge should easily hold a month's worth of frozen food for me. It will enable freezing ice cubes in a tray, having ice cream, and keeping "fresh" meat and vegetables on hand, rather than relying on canned goods. This is a great bargain in terms of performance, utility, and price. I needed a small freezer to supplement the one in my refrigerator, and this compact unit is just right. It arrived in perfect condition and maintains the temperature I selected (-5F to 0F), using very little electricity (it is rated at 100 watts, like a regular light bulb). It is amazing how much I can fit into its compact space. It is made by Midea, a very large and high-quality assembler and manufacturer that produces freezers and refrigerators for many brands. I also have a nearly identical Kenmore brand small refrigerator made by this company, and it has worked flawlessly for around 8 years so far. I expect the same from this freezer.
