  • Quality solid wood bed & trundle, relatively easy setup
Color: Walnut Size: Twin
Great solid wood twin bed/trundle combo at a great price. I was pleased to see the bed was delivered in four separate packages, each of which was easy enough to carry upstairs by itself. All parts were included and the manufacturer was kind enough to include a couple extra screws and Allen wrenches, just in case. The frame provides solid support for a standard twin mattress, works well with our toddler railing, and looks good. The trundle bed wheels in and out very easily. The wooden legs should have come with felt or silicon feet, which I will now need to buy separately, as I'm afraid they will scratch my hardwood floor. I have a lot of experience putting together IKEA-style furniture and would say this was moderately difficult. It would have been simple except for the following: 1. There were a couple steps where the screw-holes did not align perfectly and I needed to force the wood to get in place. 2. Remember how the bed came in four different boxes? Each box had a separate component (frame, slats, foot-board, trundle), but there were no instructions on how to fit everything together. 3. It was easy to make mistakes because none of the pieces were marked - would it have killed them to include a couple labels stating "top", "bottom", "Part A", "Part B" etc. Nevertheless I was able to get this done in a single afternoon with my four-year-old "helping". All, in I'd like to give this 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Works great for when grandkids stay and saves space.
I bought 2 of these and they are great - they are sturdy also. There is a small space where the frame is vs the mattress that will cause the pillow to slip down, but you can put a 2nd pillow there to top that. The trundle is great and goes in and out easily. You can't keep a blanket on it with the thicker mattress I got, but you can keep sheets on it. ... show more

  • Very nice bed
Color: White Size: Full
This is a nice basic bed frame. Easy to assemble. Looks good when complete. Only thing I don't like are the mattress support crossmembers. Made of rigid wood. Should have used a more flexible wood. As older daughter "hopped" into be one of cross members broke. I want to be clear there was no jumping on the bed. It was a less than normal controlled fall into bed. If they had a little more spring to them this should have been a non issue. Easy fix by ordering different cross members, but these are cheap and shouldn't have to be done. ... show more

  • Great quality and no particle board
Color: Walnut Size: Twin XL
This trundle bed came in three boxes which made it easier to move upstairs for assembly. The packaging was excellent. The package design, and good quality tape and tape method left little chance of shipping damage. The bed was all nicely finished solid wood with no particle board, and it was a breeze to assemble. The holes lined up perfectly, and the hardware was heavy duty. The only design issue I find is that the trundle doesn't fully roll under the upper bed. I don't know if this is intentional. There is an interference between the trundle face board and the upper bed rail of about 3/16 inch. This will be easily remedied if I purchase some 1/2 inch rubber feet for the bed legs and head board which I plan to do. I will definitely purchase other products from this company. ... show more

  • waste of $400
Color: White Size: Twin XL
Bought this and took 1 year to unbox and build. Easy build for 2 people with no skills. Twin XL mattress fits in the bases but the trundle won’t go under the top mattress . I bought bed risers and that didn’t work bc of the trundle frame. So when I finally used it, with no bed risers or trundle under, the frames side broke. Waste of money. ... show more

  • Easy to Assemble! Great Customer Service!
Color: Espresso Size: Twin XL
You know how sometimes in self-assembly furniture, the pieces are a little less than "solid" and the assembly parts (bolts, nuts, etc.) don't line up or fit perfectly - they still work, but not as you hoped? None of that is the case with this furniture! It was solid and clean, with perfect line-up of pieces and bolt holes - it was EASY to assemble! Also, the directions are clear and easy to follow. This was the BEST self-assembly furniture I have ever purchased. The footboard came damaged from shipping (you could see the hole that was poked through the box and through the footboard), and when I contacted Atlantic (direct, not through Amazon, which was what they asked for on a bright pink paper in each shipping box), I gave them a picture of the damaged box and damaged footboard, and just like that, they sent me a new footboard, which I received in days. No back-and-forth, no hassle. EASY and COURTEOUS customer service! Next time I need self-assembly furniture, I'm going to start my search with Atlantic Furniture. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
Color: White Size: Queen (U.S. Standard)
The bed said supports 800 lb (I'm 350 my wife is 160). Because it has a trundle I thought that was amazing. During assembly the the support rail wood split. I tried to retrieve the support leg and the Allen screw started to strip 🤦🏾♂️... I contacted Atlantic furniture they told me to contact Amazon but by then I had already replaced the wood from Lowe's. The planks feel like the won't support me so I added additional support legs. I started to contact Amazon about getting replacement parts but they wanted me to return the original haha i already tossed that out. *** if Amazon reads this - I would like an additional foot board so I can add another support rail on the side of the trundle - as it stands now I feel the bed sink slightly if I roll to the side of the trundle so I need to isolate myself to the side I added additional support legs... over all the bed is acceptable but absolutely not worth the $580 imo ... I think $350 is appropriate value for this quality ... show more

  • Perfect
Delivered in four boxes. No scratches, scuffs, or other damage. A big thank you to the reviewer who mentioned two different sets of legs based on trundle usage. Saved us from major headache. Also, if using with trundle, legs must be offset from center. I think overlooking this detail caused some bad reviews. My 15 year old son assembled it by himself with the tools it came with in about two hours. I highly recommend power tools if possible. A couple of bolts wallowed out a bit, and by the time he finished, the wrench looked like it had been chewed. The bed looks great. Sturdy enough for son, friend, and dog to pile in together, which amounts to about 300 lbs total. No groans or squeaks. Doesn't wiggle or sway. He did not screw down the slats to the bed frame because the finger (comb) joints in the piece of wood that supports the slats weren't perfect. One side had shorter fingers than the other, leaving small triangular voids. Son didn't really want to fight with the screws, I think. On the trundle, two of the threaded sleeves began working their way out of the wood as he turned the bolts. Not enough to cause problems, and easily remedied with a pair of pliers while turning bolts. Trundle does not close flush to side board of frame, but if it did, you wouldn't be able to access the finger grips to pull trundle out. So there is a lip of overlap where the trundle meets the bed. Not a problem for us. Small issues, but I almost spent double the amount on a similar bed that didn't look as nice as this one. Very pleased overall. ... show more
