Great dehumidifier. Easy to use. Very effective at removing humidity from my 1500 sq foot basement. The hose feature to drain into the sump pump is a great feature. The dehumidifier was removing about 10 to 15 pounds of water every 2-3 days when we used just the bucket.

The unit shipped to me appeared to be slightly used. The cardboard inside the bucket was wet. Additionally, humidity sensor was terrible. Out of the box, it was often off by as much as 20%. It only ever ranged from 30% to 37% even with a very wet basement. The dehumidifer seemed to work fine but without a humidity sensor, it was worthless. Also, customer service was zero help. When I contacted them to ask to address the humidity sensor issue, they just told me to return it to Amazon. App setup was also terrible. ... show more

I live in Texas, so it gets pretty humid here. I bought this a few months ago and have been shocked at how much moisture it pulls from the air. It is very easy to use. It can be a bit loud, but it's doing what it's made to do, and it does it well. The size is a pretty small footprint but does sit a bit high - those with small children may want to take that into account when purchasing - kiddos tend to like to climb on things. It does heat the air as it's removing humidity - I haven't used it in our hot months just yet, so we'll see how it feels then, but I do notice that it heats the room especially on high. I would say it's worth the money. Make sure that you carefully read the instructions - it explicitly states to ensure that the unit sits upright for 24 hours before the first use. During transit/ shipping, the unit may have sat on its side at some point. So, letting it sit allows for all of the fluids settle where they're supposed to in the compressor. If you don't let it sit, you run the risk of frying the unit. I let mine sit for 24 hours before using it. ... show more

I like the compact size, efficiency, and that it’s fairly quiet. I am disappointed in two factors. The first, you cannot use the continuous drainage function when it is standing on the bottom cube. It now stands on top of the styrofoam packaging it arrived in, in a bathtub. Not esthetically pleasing. Second, there is no permanent timer function. I would have liked to have the dehumidifier automatically turn off and on every 12 hours, without having to change the timer by hand twice a day. ... show more

Pros: Looks great! Cons: Doesn't work. Like so many other reviews here, it reads an ambient humidity of 30%, which isn't even close to what it should read. Even moving the unit to an even more humid space had no effect - still says 30%. Since this seems to be a common issue with these units, I'll try another brand and maybe not rely on the 'experts' anymore. I'm talking to you Consumers Reports. ... show more

Bought this dehumidifier after doing a lot of research according to a lot of reviews online this is a top grade dehumidifier. I decided to buy the bigger one 50pint dehumidifier. It was easy to set up but was pretty heavy for its size I think is about 40lb. I ended up returning the dehumidifier because it would not read humidity over 30%. I turned the device off for 10-15 min but it never read accurately. The area that I tried using it in is usually 55%-60% humidity. Hate to say I was a bit disappointed and not sure if I would order again. ... show more

Dehumidifier ran as directed for 24 hours. I moved location and verified humidity level in room. The Midea unit was 8% low which means if you set it for 40% the area would be maintained at 48%. I contacted Midea customer service and was promised a return call . It did not happen. Amazon is sending a replacement. I will revise review if replacement unit is acceptable. 5/02/26 replacement unit works as expected. Pleased with performance. Unit accuracy improved. ... show more
