I love how advanced this air conditioner is. It comes with a remote, but you can also use an app. On the app, you can set it to turn on when you are at a certain distance from your house, while you are in town, and more. Replacing an older window unit was the main reason I bought this one. Installation took a little time because of the weight and getting everything lined up in the window, but the included hardware covered what I needed. I watched a couple installation videos online beforehand since this design was different from the window AC units I had used in the past, and that helped the setup go more smoothly. Once running, the difference in noise was noticeable right away. I can still hear it, but it doesn't have the constant loud cycling sound my previous unit had. The room cools down fairly quickly, and I've mostly kept it around the low 70s during warmer afternoons. One thing I ended up liking quite a bit is the U-shaped design. With my old window AC, I always had to roll the curtains up because they would get pushed around the unit. With this one, the curtains can hang down into the center opening, so the room looks more normal when the AC is installed. The remote stays on the nightstand, and the filters are easy enough to access for cleaning. So far it has been doing exactly what I bought it for. ... show more
