I’ve been using this Midea dehumidifier for a while now, and overall I’m pretty satisfied with it. I bought it mainly for my basement because it tends to get damp during the warmer months, and this unit has made a noticeable difference in air quality and humidity levels. The setup was straightforward, and connecting it to the app was easier than I expected. I really like being able to monitor and adjust settings remotely through my phone. This dehumidifier is better than what I expected. It's good for a big area but the weight is not heavy at all. We had a lot of rain over a week then it flooded in the basement. In the whole building you could feel the humidity in the air. If we don't add one dehumidifier, a lot of stuff probably be moulding. This dehumidifier is strong and works really good for us. Due to the basement is not fully cleaned, so we set it on the carpet for now. It only takes 12 hours the whole bucket already full of water. It sounds like a gentle fan when it's working. It's the modern one you can control on the app too. I have not tried this new feature yet, it should work good , and it's very convenient. ... show more

One star is too many and for one simple reason: whoever designed the removable bucket obviously never tried putting it back in. Every time instead of sliding back in without a struggle, it is an enraging ordeal. Why? What is the design benefit of this? There isn’t any. Hi. I did receive my Midea dehumidifier almost month ago. Working good. But when I decided to check air filter condition and found that there was no filter inside. Now I have to find such a filter and buy it. Be careful and check everything. I give two stars for deception.

I ordered this dehumidifier for a client's 7,000+ square foot residential project out in Newport Coast, and it handles the massive layout beautifully. Managing humidity in a coastal home of that size can be a challenge, but this unit has been keeping the entire property incredibly nice, dry, and comfortable. The standout feature for me is the built-in pump. I set it up to drain directly into the nearest sink, completely eliminating the hassle of manually emptying a water tank. We've had humidity issues in our home for a while and, after a water leak, finally decided to spring on the purchase of a dehumidifier. We've been using this Midea 5500 sq. ft. dehumidifier for several months now and it has performed wonderfully. During the summer months, we had it running 24/7 and it would take about 18-20 hours to fill the tank, which holds several gallons of water. It held the humidity in the space to around 45-50%. One of my biggest complaints with the unit is the fan noise. We tried it in our living space and had to raise our voice to talk over it, even on the low setting. My second complaint is that there's no fail-safe for activating the tank pump when the tubing isn't present. Unknowingly, one of the kids (11 YO) turned on the pump and it ran for 24 hours putting gallons of water onto a carpeted floor before we realized it. Fortunately it helped dry it all back out. One of the things that I do really like, compared to other dehumidifiers I've used in the past, is that the air coming out isn't HOT. It does kick out air that's a little warmer than the ambient air but, it's not blowing out hot air. Not a primary factor in my decision to purchase this model but, a consideration, was that it could be connected to my Home Assistant instance. It connected fairly easily and I can monitor/record temperature and humidity levels and control the unit. If it weren't for the noise level, I'd consider purchasing a second one for our 2-story living space. However, when this one goes, I'd happily buy an exact replacement. ... show more

This baby is HUGE! And it really sucks the water out of the air. Hard to believe I am actually breathing the air that contains so much water that it removes without having gills. Quickly got my basement back below 50% RH within 24 hours after my old HW died. A bit heavy to lift out the bucket, but you can easily continuous drain with a hose and the in-machine pump. Just hope it lasts at least 3 years--about the most you can expect from any brand of dehumidifier in the past 10 years. Just make sure you get the warranty.
