Pros: Functionally perfect Easy to adjust 55 lbs at affordable price A lot of different adjustments Good build quality Cons: Plates dont have plastic coating. they are pure metal so shouldnt drop them and carefully put them back into case.

I've been using this adjustable set for about a month now and it's held up better than I expected. The twist to change weight thing actually works like they say, I can go from a warmup weight up to something heavier in a couple seconds without having to stop and fumble with pins. My apartment is tiny so replacing a whole rack with one compact unit was the main reason I grabbed it, and that part alone has been worth it. The lock feels secure once you get the hang of lining it up right, no wobbly plates or weird rattling when I'm doing presses or curls. The grip is comfortable enough for longer sets and my hands don't slip even when I get sweaty. My one gripe is that the base it sits in is kind of bulky and the plates make a clunky sound when you set it down, so I wouldn't want to be dropping it repeatedly on a hard floor without a mat under it. Also took me a few tries to get comfortable with the twist mechanism, you have to make sure it's fully seated before lifting or it won't grab the plates you want. Once you learn that quirk it's smooth. Overall a good buy for home training and I've been reaching for it almost daily.

These are pretty cool, and a decent value for the money, considering you’d spend a whole lot more buying individual weights. They are compact, and don’t take up a bunch of space. They rattle a little bit when you pick them up, but seem to be pretty stable and solid. The grip is just right, and can accommodate all different hand sizes. As far as the durability is concerned, only time will tell, but they seem to be built fairly well. I take one star off, because they don’t always fit back together without having to get down on your knees and guide them in with two hands, something that is a little nerve racking, but once you have them locked in, they work pretty effectively. They do come with a one year warranty too, which gives a little extra assurance. All and all, I think they are worth the money, especially if they stand the test of time.

This barbell is a great addition to my home workout. It comes with a stand to keep the weight in (and the additional plates when you aren't using the full 55lbs). To adjus the weight you simply place the weight in the stand and turn the grip until the red line points to the weight you want. It is very easy and intuitive. As for using the weight, the grip is comfortable it is firm slightly curved with a rubberized layer making it easy to hold even when you might be sweaty. As you adjust the weights the barbell remains balanced and the weights feel securely attached to the grip. While the weight is a bit longer than the average dumbbell, it remains very manageable and I did not need to alter any of my exercises to accommodate. I have been using it for a week and it feels durable and as good as when it came out of the box. I'll update if anything changes, but this seems like a great weight that's a better value than some of more known brands.
