Amazing window A/C unit. We have had several and this one is extremely quiet compared to the previous ones. Love that is has a remote and can be app controlled. Super easy to install. Very powerful unit!

Bought this from the Amazon refurbished store for a great price, and it cools the space efficiently and quickly. Nice and quiet in a white noise kind of way. Lots of buttons and features. I run it on eco-mode on cool and it does a great job without being too noisy. Way more energy efficient and quiet than our last 12K BTU A/C window unit. One star taken away only because I need to use a fan to redirect the air more towards where I sleep, but the unit itself works great.

This is the 2nd one I have purchased. The first one was recalled. This one has all the updates and runs alot better than the first one. Very quiet, the volume of water that now drips out is incredible. I'm in the Northeast and it cools my entire log home 2 floors 1000 sqft with ease. I would buy again.

Check your air conditioner for the recall. We received a recalled unit that was 'refurbished' but not repaired per the recall. The original serial number was under the recall but it had not been fixed. The refurbished sticker showed up as not recalled but had not been fixed per the recall standards. Check the Midea website and if it is a recalled item with a blue plug it has NOT been updated per the recall. The recalled units that have been updated will have black plugs. The repair kit comes with 7 black plugs and a level. We would have been happy to just get the repair kit and not have to send back another unit! We just went through all this with our other 2 units from Midea and thought that buying a refurbished model that they would have been updated per the recall. We had to cut the cord and disposed of those other units but were starting to replace the ones we lost. Depending on the unit it depends on the recall if you cut the cord, send it back, get a repair kit or have a repair person come to your place to repair it. We wanted to not be wasteful and add more items to a landfill so chose to buy a refurbished model. My partner is also making Midea aware of this as well. No one should be selling recalled units without them being repaired per the recall! 5 stars for the amazing air conditioners they are! They are quit and the best A/C's we've had! 0 stars for selling a recalled unit that has not been updated per the recall!!!
