    • Nice little AC units
This is my second one. The other still works after 3 summers. They are fairly quiet do a good job cooling. Sometimes they make weird noises especially if the outside temp drops low at night. I'm happy with the both the smallest unit and this 12,000 BTU model. Physically they look like they are the same size but the 12,000 is way heavier. The app works to control them very basically. The value in the reconditioned unit was excellent $299 shipped to my door. ... show more

In summary, purchased on August 22, 2026, the Amazon-Renewed Model.: RMW12SQW-B, 12k-BTU, U-shaped, Win-AC from the Amazon-Renewed/store. Advertised as refurbished, inspected, tested to work as good as new. Came with a Min-90-day supplier guarantee. EXPECTED BY: Aug 26, 2026, surprise, ahead of schedule by a day, on Aug 25, 2026 received my “Midea Win-AC Certified Refurbished Box-Package” no damages to external package. Consisting of: AC-Unit “labels” depicted both Amazon-Renewed Model.: RMW12SQW-B, and Media-recall Model: MAW12U1QWT, MFG date: 11/24, next finalized the Media-Unit Inspection checklist, a Drain Plug-Kit amended new drain plugs. Remote - RG51G2(1)/EFU1, Window Bracket-kit and Hardware accessories, “Sash\Sealing\Side Arm” Foam-Kit. Documentation 1-Instruction guide, 1-User Manual. Missing “L&R” Open Window Brackets. I wasn't in a hurry, Easy-Step-By-Step hardware installation for “198 sq ft”, 98.5 per-cent satisfied. I verified numerous Core Operating Settings-Mode.: “AUTO & Cool”, Fan Speeds, and the Special Settings & Features: FlashCool, ECO, iECO, Swing, C-Sense, SLEEP and Temp settings to my comfort level. Which all features operated accordingly. Extremely quiet comparison to another brand I tested, performance reading 6-ft.: MIN: 40.80 db, AVG: 44.7 db, 18.5-ft.: MIN: 32.38 db, AVG: 42.7 db (Quiet library, Park)\(Whisper, Quiet room). SmartHome app provides some simple management for several Core Operating Modes, Key Performance Features, and Smart & Utility Features, and all worked accordingly. Overall, this particular AC Unit delivered on its promises and exceeded my expectations. Also purchased Amazon, Asurion 3\Year Cooling Protection Plan. As of Aug 30, 2026, yes, I recommend this product. ... show more

    • Own It now!
I don't know where to start. I received my purchase today, and it took a few hours for me to put it together for the first time; I had some help, of course. The instructions are straightforward; if you're unclear about anything, YouTube is your best friend. This is the first time I have bought an AC unit again in 10+ years. I can sincerely say it is worth the effort and heat when setting it up. The U-shaped AC unit is next level of love. My apartment was 85° today, and Midea cooled it down immediately. I love how comfortable the family feels when watching TV or cleaning. I can honestly say the remote is trash compared to the original one. Everything works immaculately. As for the power source, I will have to see if it really helps save on electricity. So worth it!😁🥰🤯 Note the views; be viewing y'all, everyone that talked about the remote on this refurbished U-shaped AC was right, but that's the price you pay with refurbish item also, you have to catch when the price drops I paid 299+ Taxes its better than $400 to $600. ... show more

    • Cools wonderfully - refurbished unit
Unit is very quite and is blowing ice cold are even with 100 plus temperatures outside. The remote is okay, I prefer the “on unit” controls. Minus 1 star for two things. 1 was missing the parts that prevents the unit from being removed from the outside. (L brackets) In our situation we are not worried about that. 2 the instructions were very poor and very small. They had no real direction on the foam inserts and all the weather stripping included. I had to look at the Tiny pictures to figure out what went where. Luckily I had watched a video on how to install it. Includes a bag of screws that were never called for in the instructions. Again watched video to see where they went. I think the poor instructions changed an easy 30 min install to a frustrating 60 min install. That being said… I might need a second on for another room and I would choose this one again. ... show more

    • Great AC
I love this AC! It fits nicely in the window and keeps my room cool during the summer in the South. The remote is convenient. It blows cool all day, and isn't super loud

    • Accumulates water, creates mold. Returned twice.
I tried to buy on this great idea. mIDEA is a bad idea. It accumulates water inside, which turns into MOLD, which is very UNHEALTHY !!!! They recalled the product. Refurbished, and went ahead selling it. It didn't work. I'm returning AGAIN. Don't waste time.

    • Icy!!!
This ac is amazing! Yes it's a little pricey but totally worth it. It cools down my kitchen, pantry and livingroom all on its own. The set up is difficult I suggest a extra set of hands to get it set up. Please don't do this alone. I chose this style instead of the one that goes down because I live in a old building so the windows are Victorian dementions, if ya know ya know what I mean. It is heavy I suggest again 2 people. It works like a charm tho especially on those hot humid days! ... show more
