We needed an armchair for a relatively narrow spot in our family room, and we were looking for really firm back support. Constructing the chair and ottoman was pretty easy and took about 45 minutes without rushing. We had no trouble lining up the slats to slide the back onto the seat, even though some reviewers have apparently had a problem with that. Reviewers have also complained about the size of the chair, which is why I add a comparison picture of the new chair next to a full sized, plush recliner. Though the new chair is only a little bigger than the average dining room chair in the seat, and though it is not tall, it is plenty big enough in all respects for a normal, and not especially thin, adult male. Reviewers have also mentioned that the bottom cushion of the chair is "rock" hard. It certainly is firm enough to describe as "hard." But the rest of the chair is only what most would consider "firm." The effect is great support for sitting back and enjoying the back support. And it is also nice to have the ottoman for this reason, because it helps a person to sit all the way back. We are extremely happy with this purchase because it fits our specific needs and preferences. ... show more

Adorable chair! Simple to assemble, put on the leg & then slide the back in. They send everything you need to assemble, alen wrench, and even felt for the bottom of the legs. As not to scratch your floor. Chairs are firm for sitting, and super cute for matching rugs, blankets and additional pillows. Chair arrived in good condition, but was too small for our needs! When we tried to return the item after many attempts, we never heard back from the manufacturer. Tried to find customer service support from Amazon but couldn't find a phone number to talk to a live person. Had to search outside Amazon website to get help on how to reach customer service. Called them twice and both times were disconnected, without getting any help! We still have the item in a large box and are no closer to returning this item before the 30 day deadline expires! ... show more

This chair was much smaller than I thought. It is sturdy and made well. Love the color and the fabric, just disappointed by how it is not taller and wider. I’ll keep it and eventually put it in a guest room when I find one I like better for my bedroom.

Two great chairs, very easy to assemble. I was concerned when reviews said people had a hard time putting the back on, but it wasn’t difficult at all! I am small, 5 FY 2 140 pounds and they fit my frame just fine. There is no way my 6 ft 4 son could sit in them. They are firm but I like that.

Really cute. I have to break in cushion. Directions have Right and Left mixed up. I thought I wouldn't get the back on. I just had to squeeze it a little and be patient. Yay got it together. It does need a foot stool.
