The media could not be loaded. Really like it however, whoever put the holes in the side of the chair to screw the arms in is about an inch off of accuracy So it’s a struggle if you don’t have two people guiding you. Another thing is they need to check and make sure the wood is not scratched up before they send it to you

I encountered a couple glitches when assembling the chair. I emailed the customer service email that was on the service card included in the box. Customer service responded promptly with proposed solutions. I received a second chair a few days later, at no extra charge. When assembling that chair, I encountered some difficulty getting one of the screws to go in. Took me a bit to realize that the threads in the screw were compressed. Fortunately, I had kept parts from the first chair, and I was able to switch out the screw. The chair is a little tricky to assemble. You have to have all the holes lined up just right. Helps to have a flashlight on hand. Successfully assembling the chair was time consuming for me, but I figure, I either pay with more time or more money. I think the chair is an excellent value for the price. It looks nice. And most importantly for my purposes, a client who perhaps weighs 400-500 pounds will be able to sit comfortably.

The couch and chair were difficult to assemble (the screw holes didn’t line up), uncomfortable and stiff to sit on (they both lean you out of the seat, which has literally no give), and the seat broke out of the bench as soon as someone who weighed over 200lbs sat on it (ironically, it made the bench more comfortable to sit in). I tossed the broken bench but still have the chair in my office more for show than a practical seat. It’s a terrible choice if it is used for anything more than staging. Some cheap furniture is nice, this is not.

Overall an okay chair. Once built it is much heavier than you’d think, seems solid enough to last a few years for sure. Unfortunately mine arrived with a crack on the front bar that goes under the seat, the seller very quickly offered to replace bar for free or return the item. I chose to return the item, because as I was building it, I noticed the stain was a bit off, and looked ‘stripy,’ and it had a strange semi-cloudy overall finish on the piece that felt kind of like wax. Didn’t want to risk keeping it and later on finding out the finish is cracking off, or turns even cloudier with use. Perhaps it would have been fine, and it was just the one chair I received that was a bit off. I did sit in it briefly and the cushion was quite comfortable, and fit nicely in the corner I had planned to place it in. I also thought the chair was overly wide in my opinion, and not as streamlined as you’d imagine mid-century modern furniture to be, looked a bit bulky.
