This is one nice rattan lounge chair in my opinion! It was simple to assemble and is sturdy, stable, and secure. I like the retro design, and it looks great overall being a good size for just about anywhere. The chair is lower with regard to seat height than average and is more of a lounger but is still very comfortable. It is well made and high quality, so I think it is a good value at this price point. The chair seems a bit smaller than pictured and is very low to the ground. The wood quality itself is very good. However the first time I purchased this, it was missing pieces and one of the sides had scratches on it. The chair was replaced and no complaints with the replacement.

Assembly was fairly easy. No problems at all. There is extra webbing under the caning on the seat. It sort of looks like athletic mesh, basketball shorts. I understand that it is extra support and needs to be there. However, it isn’t the most attractive stuff and it is visible, but not from afar. The edging around the caning has a small bamboo “bead” or skinny strip. There is a seam in that piece. The placement of the seam on the seat is on one edge of the seat. To me, it would have made more sense that it was in the very back and center of the seat where people will be less like to be scraping against it. And, I like things to be symmetrical. So, it bugs me that there is a seam on one side. I love the mid century lines and low slung proportions. The walnut color is nice and it compliments the caning well. I wish there would have been wood colored hardware or small wood plugs for the holes where the screws are because those really stand out! For the price, this is a decent value. I would tweak it a bit, but I am overall pretty happy with it. ... show more
