This is the most awesome computer I have ever owned. I keep my previous Dell All-in-One as a backup but after looking at the screen of this Microsoft Surface, the Dell looks dark and muddy - I can't even look at it anymore. The monitor resolution is absolutely brilliant! And the screen is huge but super wafer thin. Spending almost 5K is a pretty hefty price tag but it's worth every penny - trust me - you won't be disappointed. I've owned and built desktop computers for as long as I can remember and I've never seen anything like this. I've seen state-of-the-art Apple computers and they don't even come close. I deliberated a long time on this purchase because of the high price tag but it was worth it. I love just about everything about it--the sharp graphics, the touch screen, the tilt that allows me to lower the screen almost flat and read or mark up documents with the stylus while standing up. I am very happy to operate in the Microsoft universe. I'm using Office 365 which has so many great features for a writer. The marketing skews towards visual artists but the Studio 2 offers great functionality for writing and editing. It's a beautiful machine. And I did save about $100 on Amazon compared to other sellers. My only criticism is that the ports located on the back of the stand are hard to reach. ... show more

I've had my Surface Studio 2 for a little over 7 months now and I am pretty happy with it. It is a beautiful system and I don't regret my purchase. Be aware that Microsoft has made certain sacrifices on the construction of this system. The biggest is that they have put all of the components in a very small enclosure. Because of this, the components are basically similar to laptop components. In other words, don't expect the same performance as high-end desktops. I always get a little nervous when running games or applications that are computationally heavy for long stretches of time. The system will get very hot in these cases. In some cases I have experienced thermal throttling. This isn't an issue for 2d art/illustration applications. (Which is the system's real strength.) I'm a little disappointed with the N-Trig technology that Microsoft uses for the stylus. You pretty much have to use some type of software stabilization to compensate for its poor design--you will get jitter otherwise. Microsoft either needs to improve this technology or ditch it. The digitizer on my iPad Pro is much better and I didn't pay nearly as much for the iPad as I did the Surface Studio 2! ... show more

    • This stopped working after 17 months of use. $252.00/month to use

The media could not be loaded. This was a solid product up until the 17 month of using it (purchased 5 Feb 2021). This cost $252.00/month to use. I was expecting this product (Microsoft) to work and be our go to computer for basic functions watching Prime, Amazon, Microsoft Word suite and a drawing application called sketchbook (no gaming). Unfortunately the computer stopped working on or around 7 July 2022. Might be a software issue or might be a hardware issue. (Microsoft cannot say for certain). I contacted Amazon costumer service. Amazon costumer service said that this was a very expensive purchase and that they will forward me to a technician over the phone. This call was then forwarded to a Microsoft technician (rep) eventually. This rep spent 2.5 hours trying to troubleshoot with me over the phone without any positive results. I asked if I could just send this in for repairs. He stated this product was out of warranty Feb 2022. Tough luck. He stated, if I wanted to send it into Microsoft they will send me a replacement surface studio that is refurbished to include a 90 day warranty! All I have to do is pay $800.00 plus local taxes/fees. This is the type of review I wish I would have seen before purchasing this product for over $4,300. I’m disappointed in myself, disappointed in Amazon as well as of course Microsoft. Save yourself from making a mistake and don’t purchase this product and be aware of other bad Microsoft products as well as Amazon products. ... show more

So beautiful, potent and playful. I love the Windows Hello feature, it turns on right away after searching for you! You can see two or more windows at the same time and boy are they HUGE. I love drawing on it. Also made my first movie really fast with Animotica which is very easy to use. I had No experience with movie making before. The value for the money is 3 because it is SO expensive! LOVE IT, BUY IT ... show more

I like the all in one features of this computer. It is fast and works well. I do have a problem with the camera however. It automatically adjusts itself and I cannot get a true-color picture. I had to buy another camera to get a better picture for this computer.
