    • Microsoft Surface Laptop (2024) Review
CPU: Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) Capacity: 16GB/512GB Style: Device Only Color: Platinum
The Microsoft Surface Laptop (2024) is sleek, powerful, and built for performance. From the moment I unboxed it, the premium design stood out, lightweight yet sturdy, with a smooth aluminum finish that feels high-end. The touchscreen is crisp and responsive, making navigation effortless, and the keyboard is a dream to type on quiet, comfortable, and precise. Under the hood, it runs incredibly fast. Whether I’m multitasking, streaming, or using productivity apps, everything runs smoothly without lag. Battery life is impressive too easily lasts a full day on a single charge. What really seals the deal is the integration with Windows 11 it’s seamless, smart, and user-friendly. This laptop feels like it was made for both work and play. If you’re looking for a stylish, reliable, and fast laptop, the 2024 Surface Laptop is absolutely worth it. ... show more

    • On paper, this is a nice laptop. Six months of actuap use says otherwise.
CPU: Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) Capacity: 16GB/512GB Style: Device Only Color: Platinum
This is probably the worst laptop I've ever owned, and being someone who has spent nearly 25 years working in IT, believe me when I say I've owned LOTS of laptops. The good: this laptop is very lightweight, has all day battery and actually looks very nice. The bad: pretty much everything else. I purchased this Surface Laptop to replace my aging Surface Pro 4 and numerous times I've had to drag that one out because this steaming pile let me down. Example: the full size USB port lacks driver compatibility with a lot of devices. It all goes back to the processor architecture used in this device and the fact Microsoft was too lazy to do due diligence regarding hardware drivers. There are several threads on MSFT consumer support about this and the answer is they know about it but won't fix it. I've also run into issues with this laptop not resuming correctly from battery saving mode wherein it just won't work (apps won't open or close, it doesn't detect hardware changes like plugging/unplugging peripherals, etc). Again, I strongly suspect this is due to MSFT failing to do their due diligence when doing bug/product QA testing. TL;DR - if you're a basic user who doesn't want to connect anything (digital camera, printer, etc) to this laptop via USB, won't be using anything but basic applications (web browsing, email, etc) and don't need to pause/resume usage frequently, this is a nice laptop. If you actually want a fully functional device, save yourself the headache and go buy an Apple. ... show more

    • Love it so far!
CPU: Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) Capacity: 16GB/512GB Style: Device Only Color: Dune
I love the color, love sleek design and that it’s lightweight. The touchscreen feature is a plus. My main concern was safety because use this for my Real Estate business, being that I just got hacked on my old laptop, I am extremely happy with the security features on this laptop.

    • Lightweight Attractive Lap
CPU: Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) Capacity: 16GB/512GB Style: Device Only Color: Sapphire
I like everything about the laptop. I love the sapphire color. The keyboard is comfortable. It has one USB-A port and two USB-C ports. I was able to get a flash drive that fits both types of ports. The laptop charges fast with its magnetic charging port. The screen size is almost 14 inches, which is great for such a small computer. The battery life is much better than any windows computer I have ever owned although when I work all day on it, I do eventually have to re-charge it. The only compatibility issue I've had is with my old laser jet printer. However, two months later, after trying to connect my printer again, I was successful in dong so. I even got it to print double-sided, so stick with it if you initially have printing problems. Don't give up. I had to change my mouse to a dark pointer, so I would not lose it on the screen, but that seems to have done the trick. I never hear the fan. The computer never gets warm (only the flash drive). The track pad is the best I've ever had on a Windows device. Everything is good. I don't use a lot of additional software programs, just Microsoft Office, so everything works fine. It is the computer I purchased in order to get my work done. I do a lot of online grading and Zoom classes. ... show more

    • IMO: Best Mac-alternative Windows laptop.
CPU: Snapdragon X Plus (10 core) Capacity: 16GB/512GB Style: Device Only Color: Platinum
My wife has been using this for her business for the past 8 months. For her, a laptop is simply a way to get a job done, but she needed a new one since her previous Dell XPS 13 was going on 7 years old. Without asking she offered up how much she likes the new laptop: How fast it was and the battery life last "forever" since she works in an environment where she cannot charge until the end of the day. So, big thumbs up. Also, the quality is more Mac-like with an aluminum case and solid/compact design. Good stuff. Some noted incompatibility with older software. While she uses primarily Office, web apps, and 1-2 older biz apps, she has experienced ZERO compatibility issues. ... show more
