A few things to keep in mind if you are debating new vs. refurbished. It's still early but the surface seems to be functioning well enough albeit with more than a few scratches on the gorilla glass. Biggest frustration is that the unit was shipped with the wrong charger. Instead of the lighter and more portable Go charging cable I received the two piece charging set up for the standard Surface, which kinda undercuts the entire portability appeal. Also the battery life thus far is not particularly good so at least in my case the refurb includes a unit which has gone through many full recharge cycles and didn't include a newer battery. ... show more
