Bought this computer for my wife. We bought it used from Amazon Warehouse. The first one came and had purple dots in the screen, returning it was no big deal. We got another used one and it works great. I have a surface pro 3 with an I7 in it and a larger hard drive. I got it because I do more intensive things like CAD and Computational Science stuff with it. However, for daily use and light work like word processing and such, this thing is actually nicer than mine because the battery lasts longer and it doesn't get as hot. Streams video great and I can use it most of the day on a full charge. It's great!!! ... show more

I really like this Surface Pro 3. Better than I expected and I expected it to be good. Very responsive for an i3. I got a Surface Pro 4 keyboard for the wider spaced keys and like it a lot too. I got the Surface Pro 4 pen and it works well, but I just don't know if I will use it a lot. I am a bit sorry I didn't get the 8GB of memory version since I have Photoshop on it and it can be a bit sluggish with large files. It works fine, but I guess I am spoiled with Photoshop on a desktop. But his is my fault. A desktop with only 4GB of memory might be sluggish too on a large Photoshop file. This Surface is very fast on everything else I use it for. Word, Excel, browsing the web and Outlook. It is pretty darn cool. And I like not have a hot laptop on my lap anymore. I am going to sell my laptop. I was too cheap to buy the Surface Pro 4 but am very happy with this one. ... show more

It doesn't fit my lifestyle as much as I'd hoped. As a tablet, great, but I need a solid laptop to actually hold in my lap and type. The floppy keyboard attachment (that I paid extra to get) can't be used properly unless it has a solid surface to rest upon. Kinda negates the whole lap part of laptop for me. I also can't stand the onscreen keypad! If, like me, you are used to an adding machine, it is upside down and cannot be adjusted (I found out after an hour talking with phone support). ... show more

Pros: Exellent performance Durable Beautiful design Windows 10 is much better than 7 and 8 Supports the latest Type cover Cons: Type Cover not included Pen not included Warm (but not to much) with a lot of apps open Fan kicks in a lot during game play (Normal on all laptops though) I ordered the MS Surface Pro 3 about 2 months ago and as of right now, I'm enjoying it a lot. It's really, really fast and it's and its super lightweight. The screen is stunning and the design is a head turner. The build quality totally beats the iPad I used to have. I dropped this Surface down the stairs and it stayed in perfect shape and everything still works. Microsoft was not lying when they said it could replace your laptop. This is not only a good laptop replacement, it's the best high-end laptop I've ever had (and i have had my fair share of high-end laptops in the past). It also is great for school and it is great for putting in my bag or the carrying case I got for it last week. I love the Surface Pen even though it's not included because it may seem like a toy at first but you'll be surprised once you use it. It's super powerful and great with multi-tasking even though it has 4GB of RAM. I use a program called 3DS Max and it runs great and while using it, I have a ton of tabs open, Photoshop, Pandora, and a few others and it handles it with no lag. I can honestly say Microsoft has stepped up their game in the past few years and I would buy this over iPad Pro or any other tablet any day. The only thing that can get annoying with this PC is that the fan can run loud when gaming (but that's normal on any laptop) and it gets a little warmer then my old HP while multi-tasking put it's not to hot to use and touch (and still colder than my iPad). I recommend getting the Pro 4 Type cover over the Pro 3 Type cover because they keys are more spaced out and it has a better trackpad and it works on the 3 even though it says 4. Overall, I put this push this PC to it's limit everday and it handles well. Its fast and reliable and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an Ultra Book or a professional tablet. ... show more
