Microphone Amplifier Preamp The Dynamic Microphone Amplifier is an active in- line preamp that offers +25dB of clean gain. It works with low-output and quiet sources like passive ribbon microphones, which lack sufficient gain. Dynamic Microphone Amplifier with advanced FETs and transformerless to ensure you got ultra-low noise floor. Quick Start Guide 1. Connect the output of the dynamic microphone amplifier to a preamplifier, mixing console, audio interface, or any other source capable of supplying +48V phantom power. When using long cable runs, the dynamic microphone amplifier can be nearer the mic or the preamp, depending on the equipment used. 2. Connect the dynamic microphone amplifier input to any dynamic, ribbon, or tube microphone. The phantom power will not pass through the dynamic microphone amplifier, making it safe to use with delicate ribbon microphones. In order to use it with microphones that require +48v, such as condensers, a dedicated external phantom power supply will be needed to power the micro-phone. 3. Start with the gain all the way down, then turn on +48v phantom power on your preamp, mixer, interface, etc. Slowly turn up the gain to the desired level. Useful for a Variety of Applications o Use with low-output dynamic microphones and ribbons o Use with mixers/preamps that negatively impact the sound at higher gain setting o Use for long cable runs o Mic softer sound sources such as acoustic instruments and voice o Use with noisy or low-gain preamps Plug-and- Play Simply plug your microphone in the XLR input and connect a mixer or preamp to the output.
