Our power was going to be shut off for a pole replacement on a day that was going to be 105 so I was very worried my little dog would overheat in the house. This is great because it doesn't use ice or anything so I didn't need to worry about my floors. It's a very thin, lightweight material. I havent washed it yet but like that it's washable because my dog has severe anxiety and marks absolutely everything so I knew he would be marking this as he does his bed. It stays cool but not so cold that it would be a problem for him to be on it all the time. It did the job the day I needed it and now on hot days I find him sprawled on his back laying on it. It feels similar to a silky pillowcase and I got the smallest one as my dog is under 5lbs and it's a perfect size for him.

The perfect size for my 10 lb tortie. She usually ignores everything I get her and only plays with the box it came in. She took right to this mat and has used it multiple times already. Feels nice and cool to the touch.

I got 2 different cooling mats for my porch cat. My porch faces west and gets full sun in the afternoon/evening hours. When the sun is beating on the mat, neither of the mats were cool. Not burning hot, but definitely not cool either. But once the sun goes down, even with a hot summer night, the cooling pad feels great. Even leaning my hand on it for a while, the pad still felt nice and cool. Kitty liked it. Not sure if the bottom is waterproof as advertised. This was the better of the two mats I bought. I was bigger too. But I kept them both for different spots. On the downside, the delivery was significantly slower on this pad versus the other one I bought, which came 2 days Prime. So, 1 star off for it not working in the sun and the slow delivery.

This dog cool pad seems to be a quality product. It is surprisingly cool however it gets warm pretty quickly. Also, it is very thin and gets bunched up easily. I'm keeping it but I am ordering a gel pad like my dog already has.

The product came quickly, which was nice. I originally was drawn to the larger size (XXL) of this specific cooling mat. The size is a nice feature, as it is large enough for our golden retriever and Bernedoodle to share. I am fairly disappointed in the quality of the material. I most certainly was not expecting anything super fancy. I just wanted something we could throw out on the patio or on the ground at the campground when hot outside. The durability really is sub par. I was expecting a thicker material on top and backing that was maybe a little waterproof. Within literally the first 30 seconds my doodle had snagged the thread with her nail just by walking on it. The total mat thickness isn’t as thick as a hoodie. The back layer is a mesh type material. The pro to the thin material is I imagine it will be easy to throw in the wash. I think I would’ve been more satisfied with the purchase if it had been around $20…. Definitely not worth $40 in my opinion. Hopefully my dogs enjoy it for a while at least.

My dog gets really hot at night (he has very thick hair because he’s a mini poodle breed) and this is the ONLY thing he lets me cover him up with. He kinda scratches at it if I put it on his bed because he wants to get comfortable so sometimes when he just makes it a jumbled mess I cover him with it and he sleeps just fine. Definitely a good find!

This quilted fabric cool pad is perfect to put onto my couch or the seat in my car for my small-medium sized dogs to keep them cool while they sleep. I love that it doesn't contain a gel insert, which in other pads ended up wrinkling over time with use, and I had to discard. These are washable and just hang dry for best care. We own 2 now and it is a game changer for our "pack"!

We purchased this for the feral cats in our rural neighborhood. They love it for the most part! On really hot/humid days they opt to lay on the cement or in the bushes which is why I only gave it 4 stars. It's soft and cool to touch. I have other cooling mats and this one is their favorite. It's easy to clean. It is thin, so you may notice I have a separate mat that I place the cooling mat on to give them extra cushion. It's big enough to hold 5 big barn cats who would lay close together.
