  • I use this on everything!!
I love this sander! This sander has saved so much aggrivation when doing intricate work. I use this on my model kits from plastic to resin. I even use it when making clay sculptures ( dry of corse ). This sander is very light and easy to use. I'm sure that some of us like to sand in tight corners. A little tip, If using the edge on the sander attachment ( not the whole flat face ) and if the sandpaper loads up. Don't dispose of the sandpaper. Just peel the sandpaper off the attachment and turn it around. The PSA still has plenty of stickiness to re-apply back on. I find myself using this sander alot. The only cons I found is the grit markings on the sandpaper sheets to identify. I wish the grit identification was printed on the actual back of the sheet. Not underneath the PSA of the sandpaper. There are numbers there but, still hard to tell. ... show more

  • Great Tool For PLASMO
I was watching one of the YouTube scale modelers that make the model cars that are hard to tell from the real thing and noticed that he used one of theses sanders. I saw the ease in which he was able to sand tiny delicate plastic pieces as well as the whole model body. I had to have one too!! After some shopping around I decided on the MicroLux Micro Sander based on the excellent reputation of Micro Mark and the MicroLux brand. I also preferred the AC plug in model over the rechargeable type. I believe a plug in tool always has more power and certainly more staying power than a cordless. This tool comes with three sheets of "peel & stick" sandpaper in three grits from 180, 240, & 400, pre-cut for the various shape sander head that come with it. I have only used the 400 from this assortment but found it to perform perfectly....expecially on the little triangle shape head. It will sand in tight spots where getting in with a sanding stick or paper and a finger would be impossible. For finer grits of sanding I use either Tamiya foam back or 3M Trizact in grits up to 5000 for fine finish sanding. I use double sided sticky tape..https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTKQ4NLL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to attach sandpaper and foam to the sander head....works great. No need to write negative review because your sandpaper wore out too fast....I mean come on. ... show more

  • An essential tool for intricate sanding
This is an indispensable tool for intricate sanding but the sandpaper grits available are limited and they wear out rapidly. Expect to spend as much time swapping sandpaper as you do sanding.

  • It’s ok
It gets the job done, but the sand paper that come with the tool don’t last long

  • This tool is AMAZING!!!!
I bought this as a long-shot idea for working on guitar fretboards and for polishing guitar frets. Right out of the box it provided a professional finish-ready surface. It worked the first time I turned it on! How cool is that? Zero learning curve, professional results. THANKS!

  • I beg to differ!
I feel the need to refute a review posted on Amazon about this product and how someone was unhappy with it's performance. I would like to point out that this tool is NOT for heavy rough sanding. It's not for removing all your imperfections in a print. It's for DETAILING. I used one sticker on the triangular tip and was able to detail an entire print without removing the sanding surface from the sticker. So yes, it WILL work for 3D model post processing, if you're using it for the right things. Noting at all against the person posting the poor review. If you want something to remove all the rough stuff, I've bought a set of sanding wheels for a Dremel and have a set of sanding sticks. This is for detailing like micro files... I wish the tips were made of metal instead of plastic so there is that. ... show more

  • Straight up does not work
I needed a small sander to polish plastic miniatures, and this seemed the right side. Well, I can't comment on its polishing abilities, because it does not work. I can hear and feel the motor running, but the actual pad is not moving at all. I tried using a different pad, and same result, so my guess is there's a bad gear in there somewhere. For an $80 tool, that is straight up insulting to the customer. ... show more
