Description

When the MICHELIN Commander II tire was released it set the standard in terms of tire life, almost doubling the life that consumers would see from its competitors. In addition to long tire life, Michelin has incorporated MICHELIN Amplified Density Technology (ADT) which increases responsiveness. Commissioned third party tests conducted in 2011 on public roads comparing MICHELIN Commander II tires, Metzeler ME880, and Dunlop D407/D408 tires in sizes 130/80B17 and 180/65B16. Individual results may vary depending on motorcycle type and operating conditions.

    • What an incredible difference
This is the same review I wrote on the front Michelin Commander II tire. I replaced a set of almost new Dunlap D402s with these incredible tires. They eliminated the tire related issues I was having. I have a 2004 FLHRi Road King. I was experiencing tracking and handling issues with the Dunlap tires. Now with the Michelins, it is like riding a new motorcycle. No more tracking issues on the back roads of Texas with the parallel road cracks and tar strips. Even the handling on hard pack gravel roads is great and I wouldn't attempt to ride gravel with the other tires. Now that I've put some time and miles on these, I'm absolutely loving these tires. Great grip and tracking, that respond well in turns, tight or long, weather and pavement doesn't bother it. Brushes water out of the way, quickly gets rid of dirt or other debris that might have got caught in the treads. ... show more

I'm a daily commuter and cross country junkie, rain or shine. This will be my 3nd set of the Commander II's on my 03 Heritage Softail and not the last. They are reliable on all surfaces, in all weather, and I've decent mileage. I had a flat and ran nearly a hundred miles, I was sure the sidewalk was wasted but had the tube fixed and still put 15k on them. ... show more

    • Overall great tire, long wearing on my Electraglide
Improved the handling of my 2000 Electraglide. Great dry condition cornering and handling , good in the water once broken in. After 7,000 miles I can barely see wear on the rear tire..I think it will easily do 20,000 miles. Update: 4.17.2016 18,000 miles and 1/3 usable tread left on front and year. Still pleased with tires.
