Used it to update the radio in my neighbor's 2013 Toyota Tundra. it plugged right into the factory antenna and connected the aftermarket radio. I did remove the extra wire in the connector as it was not needed as I do not like extra wires hanging even though it was hidden behind the dash. Reception was clear. The item received had the same part number but only had one antenna output. In my situation (2016 Camry SE), there are two antennas on the factory connector. What is the other antenna used for? Also, the blue wire must be used (connected to the amp/antenna turn on wire) otherwise, the device won't work. One star removed for lack of instruction and information about what is lost by not using the remaining antenna. ... show more

Four stars instead of five because the lack of instructions might leave a first-timer guessing, but it's pretty straightforward. The stereo has an outgoing power line for powered antennae, amplifiers, etc.; and the blue wire on this adapter needs to be attached to that even if your antenna doesn't automatically extend and retract. Amazon's data on what cars this fits is not accurate. I bought it for my 2014 Corolla based on the appearance of the connector, despite a warning saying it would not fit my car. This antenna adaptor fit my RAV4 perfectly and delivered the radio signal to the aftermarket deck just as it is claimed by the seller. Since the install of the deck was in a different place than stock, the cord just barely made it to the back of the deck.

Radio antenna works well and radio stations come through clear. However, install was a bit confusing as there were no paper instructions as to what to do with the blue wire on my pioneer dmh-1500nex stereo head unit. Turns out, you just have to splice the products blue wire to the pioneer blue amp connection. Check out the pics to see, I circled it yellow. ... show more
