I ordered this for my 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT with Factory Kenwood stereo and factory mount (I bought the car new so know this is the fact). I did not allow the stereo to go in all the way and hit a horizontal stereo brace. I managed to get it in (removed stereo brace in stereo recess). But then found the vertical alignment is wrong and the dash trim piece will not fit around the mount. I ordered another Metra 99-7358 Hyundai/Kia Multi 2005-2010 Single DIN/Double DIN (Black) and it worked perfect though there are a lot of tabs to remove and trim so I hope you are good with a Dremel cutting wheel. Says for 2005 and I have 2004 (according to driver side door tag and reg.) but probably has to do with a midyear model change?. If you run into problems you might try the second Metra part # I listed. Update: 4/5/2021: Be Cautious, if this does not fit your Hyundai throw it in the garbage. As those who work in the audio industry knows this brand, I can't be more pleased with this product. Metra is the source I use for everything I do. The kit allowed the radio frame to smoothly go in, lock and it is stiff around the edges and no slack. Does not feel like cheap cheap knock off plastic too. Gives me plenty of options for installation type like if I wanted to flip it and have the radio lower positioned, I could do so and will still be able to line up my screws. If I specialized in everyday radio installs. This seller will have some serious work on their hands when I start bulk ordering. Edit. Forgot to mention for those who do; it DOES NOT FIT 2005 Kia Spectra. I whoever make the kit work though lol but overall people, it does not directly fit. It’s short ... show more

As of this writing (Dec 2013), the image shown for this dash kit appears to have a solid back in the pocket. However, the item I received had rectangular holes in the rear of the pocket, making it possible for small items to fall behind the dash. I've installed many stereos and none of the other aftermarket kits had had this "feature". Fortunately, the 2002 Hyundai Elantra in which I was installing the new stereo had a single-DIN factory stereo with a factory pocket, and I was able to use the existing factory brackets. The dash kit seems sturdy enough but I didn't even take it out of the package because I could see the holes in the pocket through the plastic. If you order this kit, just be aware that it make come with holes in the back. ... show more

I bought this for my fiancee's 2002 Hyundai Elantra GT. I replaced her stereo from the manufacturer with a single DIN head unit from JVC with no issues. I noticed right away that this dash kit has a smaller storage area than the stock equipment, but it's just because the head unit itself takes up more space. My fiancee is completely fine with it. She can still fit her iPhone and other small items in there. The only issue is that it has a couple holes at the bottom of the slot, and I can't figure out why. I went ahead and taped them over with electrical tape before installing this kit, and I don't think there will be any problems. ... show more

The kit fit nicely but I didn't have the alpine din sleeve so I was left wanted to iso mount the unit to the kit but couldn't as there were no brackets included with the kit so I had to go find a sleeve to lock in my alpine head unit

This was exactly what I needed for my Tiburon. All you have to do is cut off the bracket pieces you don't need and put it in place. The only problem is that when installed the very top plastic bar is too thick. I gets pushed down from the temp and clock cluster by some plastic and screws that can't be removed. The bow isn't terrible but it is noticeable. There are two small holes in the cubby but these can be easily plugged. ... show more

This dash kit is a perfect fit for my 06 Elantra It basically replaced the factory one so that an aftermarket Head Unit (In my case Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X696) fits snug into the dash. My head unit came with a 'cage' that fits into this dash kit so when the faceplate of the head unit is placed on it is flush with the outer edge of the CD holder. *I consider this dash kit REQUIRED for an 06 Elantra aftermarket head unit install. ... show more
